So now we've had two "Underrated/Overrated" discussions. The first one focused on WDW/Disneyland attractions, and the second focused on restaurants. Now it's time for the third category: Entertainment.
Now, when I say "entertainment", I mean anything that is not specifically a ride(this may mean that some people used these entries for their "attractions" votes, so there may be an overlap, but I don't care, and since I'm the one who created this thread, I make the rules).
In other words, this would include: stage shows, evening shows, parades, movies(such as the ones inside the WS pavilions), performance artists/groups, things like that.
Remember, this ISN'T "best" and "worst", or even your "favorite" and "least favorite". This is simply what you feel is an under-appreciated "entertainment" offering, and one that, in your opinion, doesn't quite match the hype.
Now, let the arguing....errr.....discussion begin!
Here are mine....
Underrated: Voices of Liberty inside The American Adventure at Epcot. I had long overlooked them, because A)I've heard a million singing groups in my lifetime, and B)They were going to be singing songs I was already familiar with. So only recently have I really discovered and appreciated them. They're SO talented, and the songs SO moving, that I can't help but stand in that rotunda and marvel at every performance. Powerful and pitch-perfect. And the perfect lead-in to the actual American Adventure show inside the theater.
Overrated: The "Finding Nemo" musical at Animal Kingdom. I'm not saying it's bad....I don't think it's bad. I'm just saying that every time I see it, I find myself thinking halfway through "Man, I could be on the Safari or riding Everest right now". I think it's a combination of A)The familiarity of the story and B)The relative(in relation to other parks) lack of stuff in AK that contribute to my ambivalence towards it. Plus, I get kinda weirded out by the humans holding up those big spears with fish puppets on them. Again, it's not a bad show, and I really like that "Big Blue World" song(especially as a Kentucky fan). I just think it doesn't quite match the attention it gets.
Again, NOT "best/worst", or "favorite/least favorite". Just one that you feel needs more hype, and one that doesn't live up to its existing hype.
