My husband and I are going Jan 15-21 for a romantic getaway because I and finally cancer free and had my last chemo treatment Nov. 1, 2006. The doctor said that I would be fine to travel in January. So, my husband wants to do the underground tour and I was wondering if anyone has done it and is it worth ti?
I also read that you have to use a day on your park hopper pass for this plus pay the fee. Is this true? Also, how long is it? We are staying at Poly and are looking forward to the dining plan to. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

:wave2: I am sorry I can not offer any help on this I dont know anything about this I just wanted to say Congrats on being Cancer Free and Hope it is gone forever!! It is a VERY awful diease! :cheer2:

First of all, congratulations on finishing your treatments and I wish you good health! pixiedust:
Yes, the KTTK is the tour that has a look at the "utilidors". It lasts about 4-5 hours, so be prepared for a lot of standing & walking.
If you want to see the utilidors, plus a tour of MGM and Epcot , you might want to consider the Backstage Magic tour. It costs $199 before any discounts (AAA, AP, DVC, Disney Visa) but you wont need to use a days admission as you will have to do with the KTTK. Both tours serve you lunch.

On KTTK, the amount of time spent in the utilidors is very limited. That said, DH and I had a terrific time on our tour with Rae. We heard lots of trivia and facts about Disney, and went on Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion with insider info.

Congratulations, mickey4ever!!!! :cool1: :woohoo: We went on a wonderful family trip too, to celebrate my wife, Marie's remission from breast cancer, back in '99. A celebration of life. Enjoy.

I have taken both the KTTK and the Backstage Magic tours, and both do have a nice, basic tour of the ultilidors. I think you will enjoy. As said, a lot of walking, but with time to rest when needed.

God bless. :thumbsup2

You only spend about 20-30 minutes in the tunnel which isn't much. I wanted to see more underground access, but no luck.

I did the tour last month. We had a great tour guide, but I was not really impressed with the tour. I did the Segway Tour this summer, and enjoyed it much more. You are only in the utilidor a short time, and it just looked like a hallway with some Disney pictures hanging around. Also, it was alot of walking, and it was very hot the day in October when I took the tour.
