A few days ago I ordered two 7-day Park Hopper plus passes from Undercover tourist. I've just checked my Nationwide credit card statement online and the rate they have gone through at is more than £1 = $1.85 (lots of digits follow here 
). The price for each pass comes to £175.26.
If we do 7 park days and 4 water park days - that works out at less than £16 a day. What a bargain! Alton Towers is around £25. Okay, it's not a fair comparison because of the water parks being cheaper, but you get my drift.
