During the planning for our trip in OCT 2013 there was a Disney IT issue that made it difficult to link Undercover Tourist tickets to your MDE account. Does anyone know if disney IT has a fix for this now? We are planning a trip for this June and just wondering if there is still a problem linking Undercover tourist tickets.

No problems. The MDE app will just scan the barcode and they appear in your MDE in about 5 seconds.

I ordered mine from UT a few weeks ago and had no problem linking them to MDE. There is a code on the back of the tickets that I typed into my MDE account to "link tickets" and they went right in, easy-peasy. I didn't have to scan a barcode.

You can do it either way. Scanning the barcode was quicker than typing it for me.

So after UT tickets are linked to MDE, what do you do with the tickets themselves? Do you still need to bring them to the parks? Can you leave 'em at home, or throw 'em away?

I'm taking mine with me. I don't want to stand at the entrance for 15 minutes trying to get a band to scan. If there's a glitch, I'm just going to tell them to scan my ticket and let me in the park.

Thank-you, your advice worked perfectly! I have been on the phone with tech support so many times dealing with tickets. I was dreading another call to link our disappearing APs. Just checked and besides MDE app, they're finally showing under My reservations online too.

I assume this is only if you are staying on-site? Because I see on MDE to link resort info but not "tickets"...

I just bought my tickets off of the Undercover Tourist website and they will be mailing my tickets. I went onto the MDE website and tried to copy and paste both the confirmation code and the customer ID number with it would not accept either. I'm guessing I can't do it this way and have to wait until I get the live tickets in the mail? Anyone know? Thanks.

You need the number that's on the back of the ticket.

You have to have the number off the back of the tickets. UCT will email you a picture of the back if you ask.

Really? I wonder why then it won't take mine. I was thinking maybe it was because I bought them today. What number did you enter to link them...was it your UT customer number, confirmation number, or authorization number? I copied and pasted each one of them without success...

I called Disney just now and they said that I have to wait until my tickets come in the mail and use the numbers on the actual tickets to link them to MDE. The confirmation number on the email is for UT only & not the same type of confirmation number. So...I will wait.:bored:

I had a hard time on the website and I bought ours through Disney. Someone here suggested using the My Disney Experience app. It links your tickets using a scanner and was very easy to use

My guess is that you have to request this at time of purchase? My sister bought her ticket and had them shipped for free which means a 15 ship time. We are only 33 days out and still no FP+.

I have a room only BC ressie and bought our tix from UT.
When they arrive, I will hook them up to MDE and I can then book FP+ at 60 days.

Related question:

How do the Magic Bands work into this? Does Disney send them to me as the time nears or do I need to request them? Or do I get them at BC?
Thanks. Red
