We are trying to decide if we can book a trip this summer. I am looking at UnderCover Tourist and we could get $42.00 off each for a 10 day PH with WPM tix. That's great!
My question is, if I book a room only with WDW and tix thru Undercover Tourist could we get the Regular Dining Plan and who would we book that through?
Also, are the tickets we would get through Under Cover Tourist the Keys to the World cards? or one of those paper type keys?

Thanks for any help or info

I believe the dining plan can only be gotten as a package...with room, tickets and dining. The UT tickets would be paper type tickets, but I believe you can have them added to your room keys at the resort. Someone will correct me if I am wrong:thumbsup2

Thanks fo rthe quick reply. For us we really want the dining plan, so I guess we stick with booking as a package. Oh Well. Worth checking into.

There are only 3 ways to get the dining plan:
  • Book a package thru Disney (room + tickets + dining plan)
  • Have an AP and book an AP package (AP room discount + dining plan)
  • Rent points from a DVC member (or be a DVC member staying on points) and add the dining plan to your reservation.
Disney is in the process of switching to new RFID bracelets instead of room keys. No specific date has been announced for the complete conversion to this newer technology. It is assumed that your tickets from UT (or other outside source) will be able to be added to your bracelets, but even those details are sketchy right now. Rumor has it that the Magic+ bracelets will be up and running by summer.

Before you commit to paying for the dining plan, you might want to read this article about its value:

And if you really are ambitious, download the program from this website and calculate whether it is a good value for your family based on where you plan to eat.

We are going to try out the calculator you linked and see how it goes. We have always enjoyed having a sit down meal each day. It's nice to take a break and cool off and rehydrate. When we go for 12 days only CS meals get old, so we will use that link to see how it would add up with our favorite meals. Thanks for the link
