Just pricing up park hoppers on Undercover tourist vs The WDW website with a pretty big price difference. I'm pretty sure at this stage that when we (finally) get to our trip I'm wanting to upgrade one adult ticket to a Premier pass. Given that I'm looking at purchasing on undercover tourist will I have any trouble using one of these hoppers to put toward a pass?

Also any issues with linking these passes to MDE for FP+ ?

1. UT tickets will upgrade just fine.
Just be sure to USE the UT ticket(s) BEFORE the upgrade takes place.
Then, that UT discounted ticket will "become worth" what the same kind of ticket
costs, new, at the WDW gates toward the purpose of the upgrade.

2. Nope. Just connect the ticket numbers to your MyDisneyExperience account.

I did what ROBO suggested with my Undercover tickets and upgraded them with absolutely no problems. :thumbsup2 :dance3:

DS may *possibly* do this exact thing , but to a basic AP. He has a 5 day hopper from UT. IF he doesn't upgrade on his first park day, does the value begin to diminish with each day? As in doing on day 5 won't really offer anything left to put toward the upgrade?

As long as the ticket has entitlements on it and its with in 14 days of first use. He'll get an AP that has a back dated expire date back to the date of first use. Also if the ticket has water parks and he goes he'll have to upgrade to a PAP.

That said you can't get the 10% merch discount or the DDE/TiW card or AP meal discounts till you have your AP in hand so it typically is worth while to do it sooner rather than later.

A few people report getting APs that aren't back dated. But I'm not sure that hope is worth 10% merch

Thanks for the quick info. He may visit his sister who moved there in Feb so is considering, but not 100% sure. She has an AP so he prob will.
