What happens when you have a child under 3 yo? Do they just eat off your plate or do you order them something? Are there any options for under 3yo to be included on the DDP?

Nope, they are too young to purchase the dining plan (they'd have to have a park ticket so it wouldn't be worth it to try and put them on the dining plan when you consider the cost of the park ticket).

It would be the just same for anyone whose not on the dining plan. The under 3 year old can eat anything off of your plate. If you eat at an all you can eat place like a buffet, pre-plated or family style place, then they can eat free all they want.

If you order them anything off of a menu, then you must pay for it.

There is SO much food on the dining plan, I don't think you'll have a problem feeding your toddler.

Thank you for this. It is just one more piece of info to help convince my engineer and cheap husband to go to WDW this fall with our DD princess: (will be 2 this June).

Bothof our kids had plenty to eat at a TS restaurant sharing off of our plates and at Cs, they both split a kids meal and it worked out great :)

My son was under three last year so we couldn't purchase the dining plan for him. We usually had plenty to share. The few times we did purchase him a kids meal OOP it wasn't very expensive and it was only becuase he really wanted something like PB&J or mac & cheese.;)

We did fine with our son 23mo at the time and tried mostley buffet type meals at Boma, CP, you get the picture. We had one TS meal at Alfredos we ordered him a childs meal because DH and I both picked spicy dishes. I think our total bill was $15 more for the wine and DS meal. Even at Ohana our servier brought him those uncrustable sandwiches and fries and never charged us. We are getting him in free again this year at 35months and picking mostly character buffets again this time around. Have fun planning!!!
