Children's menus are all for over 3s and DD wouldn't eat any of that or that much. So are we aloud to take in food for her or is there something else they could order? I know that at buffets we can give her bits from our plate, just really unsure about cafe Mickey and auberge?!?!

They don't have to eat from your plate at buffets, they can have their own.

Last time we went my son was 2 1/4, for lunch we would share an adult meal and for dinner I'd either order him something from the kids menu or get him an adult starter to have as a main.

At Cafe Mickey I let him have a couple of slices of my pizza.

I personally wouldn't take food into a restaurant for him. We did when he was 1 because he wouldn't eat anything on the menu but now he can I would consider it rude.

She will be nearly 1 she is good at eating what we give her here just worried about being away from don't want to worry about her not liking anything!

Can you order extra sides? Mash, jacket potato as I know she will be fine with that!

You would be fine ordering extra sides, I have done that, as when we first went DS was only one. I would ask for an extra plate/bowl, and give him some of our meal, and some of the extra side order.

I took along plenty of snacks (apples, UHT yogurts) and we would give him those too, and no-one ever said anything. I don't think anyone would expect you to order a meal for a 12 month old!

Last time we were in Auberge, he was 2, so we didn't order him a meal, as he wouldn't have eaten it anyway. As it happens he fell asleep! He woke up just in time for desert (I swear he has sensors that detect cake/chocolate!), so the lovely waitress brought him over a childs desert (on the house!).

When we went my DS was only 18m and not a big eater and so we just asked if it was ok for him to just eat from our plates and that was fine. We just asked for an extra plate/bowl.

Buffets work well too as Under 3s are free so can have their own proper meal anyway.

Hi tinks
Elsie eats for free (table and buffet service). When we went in November my ds (2) ate for free in Annettes (fries and drink) and in Cafe Mickey (choice of kids menu). He also ate for free at buffets.
I would ask when you arrive for the under 3s menu. The waiter will explain then. I brought some yoghurts and bread in my bag just incase but he would have happily eaten off of our plates either. Which is what we did most lunchtimes, bulked out with bread and butter (his favourite), the chap is a horse when it comes to eating!
We found it to be great as he ate quite well while we were in DLP. He loved the croissants too!

Thanks every one I will ask for a menu then when we go and hope they explain then! As I dont want to order and she wont eat it then get charged for a meal! I am happy to let her have some of mine but I wouldn't give her fries or pizza.

I will take some things with me to be on the safe side though!

Thanks again every one for the quick response and help! x
