We will be taking our 2.5 year old to Disney in September, do we need to take birth certificate proof that she's under 3?

Just wondering if there's one more thing I need to worry about packing.

Thanks.

We have never needed one, and in all my visits, I have only heard one person questioned, and they were just let through, no evidence required.

I have never been asked for one. However there are a lot of reasons to have a birth certificate or copy of one with you when you travel. It is a very quick and convenient way to prove that the child is actually yours and that you can make any decisions you need to for them. It most likely would never be a problem, but after an incident I had when my DD was 2 1/2 I always have her birth certificate. (she was in a very cranky mood and was insisting I was not her mom.. I did not have proof and it was more than a little uncomfortable for the better part of 20 minutes insisting that she was in fact my child)... YOU never know what your child is going to say.. this has never happened before or since but at that critical time she was quite adamant about the whole thing.

I would advise you to take a birth certificate and give yourself some peace of mind. Trust me after this I always have a copy of her birth certificate with me when we leave the house.

the only time i needed to show proof of anything was on the plane for my 17 month. under 2 can ride on your lap. we went with the dining plan at WDW and the cut off for children is 10 years of age, once you are 10 you are an adult on the dining plan. i have a 9 year old and i did not have to show proof of her age.

if it makes you feel better, just take proof with you. i can't imagine you needing it though.

We were never questioned about either child, we told them the age and they accepted that. However, I did see one woman questioned at MK. Her daughter was 2 years 11 months, but was the height of an eight-year-old. Mom was over 7 feet tall herself. The cast member was not at all confrontational or rude about it. And ofcourse mom had the birth certificate, because she "gets this all the time."

I don't think you'll need it. They kept asking us if we were sure my almost 4 year old was over 3. We were told by more than one cast member that he is so small we probably could have gotten away without paying for a ticket for him!
