Hi
My DD and her BF are going out in May/June and want a car.
They went with VH last year and didn't have to pay a surcharge. Now they are booking separately, but are struggling to find a hire company who don't want to slap a massive surcharge on top?
Can anyone help point us in the right direction?
She wants an 'on site' company at MCO.
Thanks
Tracy

Not all companies discriminate at 25, some are less.
Their age and size of car can vary the price by a large amount.

Don't be put off by offsite companies, this may be the best option, it's one bus outside the terminal building, 5 minute trip, very easy and if the price is right then go for it in my opinion.
Sometimes these companies can be much quicker to process you for example as they are not so busy with the herds.

http://www.usrentacar.com/ gives some options for young drivers depending on selection, maybe a young person  can give you their advice.

Enterprise price doesn't change when the driver age is altered from 21-24 and 25 and up, its offsite. You need to follow through all the charges though.

usrentacar has a specific page for under 25.

http://www.floridacarhire.net/under25.aspx although the wording is remarkably similar to usrentacar.
This refers you to here http://www.floridacarhire.net/ which suggests that usave has no surcharge.

Whether those advertising no surcharge actually work out better is another question but only the legwork will find that.

me and my partner are both 24 and had the same problem. our first trip we were told we got a free car but because we under 25 we would have to take out their platinum insurance which was way out of the question. we have gone twice now once off site and once on site and found a car wasnt necessary. i would consider saving money and spend it more on food and excursions and shopping!

We used USave they are off site but its only a quick bus journey, nothing to get to excited about! The sites I hired from were

www.fifteen02.com
www.usrentacar.co.uk

Thanks babystar,

We've looked high and low and I think she is going to book with usrentacar and use USave. Like you say, a quick bus ride isn't too bad, when you're a 'poor' law student... saving $25 a day is worth doing!!!LOL

Thanks again

Tracy
