Sue I think you're probably right about the guardian being present. We did rent an ECV a few years back at the Marketplace. My daughter who has cp wanted to try driving one and I thought that was a good place because it would be less crowded than a park. She was probably 12-14 at the time and is tiny. We had no problem renting one but oh my did she have trouble driving it
! We can both laugh about it now but it wasn't funny that day. We probably kept it about half an hour.
On the other hand we did rent a power chair for our trip a couple of weeks ago and again I had no trouble although I had to sign the form of course.
