undecided still!

I'm sorry, still trying to wake up!
I just noticed some replies about my question as far as making a reservation at 7 months. Right now we are going more into buying at BLT and just trying to get more days at AKV at 7 months. I was thinking if the difference in MF may not go up after they sell out, but then again we would have the extra 3 years of vacation time.
thanks to everybody!

As far as your question about a 2bdrm vs. two studios...if you plan to cook any meals or have an extended stay where you'll be doing laundry, the 2bdrm would be preferable. The studios do not have a washer/dryer inside the unit and only have a microwave, toaster, and small fridge.

great, thanks
I don't know about the cooking part, but will would be staying for 10 nights, maybe splitted 7 and 3 nights in a different resort. I may just cook breakfast, but will probable get the dinning plan as we get tired or just fast food very fast and we like the sit down restaurants. :)

still trying to make a decision, we are wondering if it would he harder to get a 2 bedroom suite at 7 months at AKV for a week or 3 nights at BLT at 7 months. We are thinking about getting the 240 points at BLT because of the extra 3 years with the membership but use it more at AKV because is less points. We would also stay at BLT for a 2-3 nights but then go to AKV for a week. Please help
thanks

I think it really depends on when you want to go. I know that Dec is a really busy DVC time and you may or may not find what you want.

But, for the most part, I think trading out to AKV at 7 months should not be an issue.

As far as studios vs. 2 bedroom, I think it depends on whether or not you want some time alone, a place to hang out together, or whether or not having a washer and dryer is important. While you can do your laundry for free when staying in a studio, it is not as convenient as having one right there in the room.

If you are going for 10 days, with kids, then I would suggest going the 2 bedroom route, even if it is a bit more in points, at least for some of the trip.

When we go in the summer, we are doing 3 nights in a studio, but then finishing up with a 1 bedroom, even though there are only 3 of us. We are doing this mostly for the washer/dryer option (and it will be nice for DH and I to have some space for ourselves).

Thanks,
I can see how it helps to get some information from people who have been there before. As i said before, this past April was the first time ever at Disney world. We really liked it, we have been at Puerto VAllarta and Cancun at all inclusive resorts, which were really nice, but I have to say that there is something at Disney that will really let you forget about all the issues and work from home. My children can talk forever about the different things that we did there. Even the 13 y/o boy that never showed how he was really enjoying himself. He really like the pin collection. We can really see ourselves going there every year, once or even twice if able. We love to travel. We mostly go to TX to see family and we go to Wisconsin Dells during the winter months for the indoor waterparks. As we are thinking of splitting our stay while getting to know the other resorts, I did not even think of maybe doing just part of the stay in a 2 bedroom to do laundry and cook some breakfast sometimes and than get the 2 studios at the other one. I called the sales person but he never called me back. Let's see what happens tomorrow.
Thanks again for all of your help. I don'tknow about splliting the points between the 2 resorts yet.

To add to your confusion, I hope you are considering resale. AKV is going for about $80 per point and BLT about $102. You do need to pay closing costs or negotiate for the seller to pay them. We bought BWV resale through TSS and couldn't be happier.

we are using the finance from Disney, but we are planning on paying it sooner maybe in 5 instead of the 10 and then possibly add on with cash little by little.
