i seem to always change my mind from day to day
i know when i come across an idea that i love i wont change my mind

i dont know what to do for the wedding favors
i know i want to do something with the plastic glass slippers i purchased from hobby lobby but i dont know what to do with them??

if i use candy it has to be prewrapped candy
something small to fit in the shoe
i want to use ribbon to tie around the shoe

boy i just dont know

any ideas or suggestions :scratchin

:confused3 how about loose mints and use tuelle to wrap the whole thing together??? maybe use a very thin marker and put your names and dates on the slippper?? :scratchin

we3disneygo that's a really good idea. You could even use that ribbon that has your names and the wedding date pre-printed on it. Buy a few candies, some tulle, and some ribbon and start making "prototype" ideas. Then you can see what you want to tweak to make it special and personal.

Hi this is my first post :)

One of the things my fiance and I have discussed doing is instead of favors, give a donation to Give Kids the World, then place notes at each spot letting our guests know what we did. You could tie the notes up like little scrolls with ribbons and place them in the shoes. That'd be cute. :)

koyta welcome! Thats a great idea I havent thought of that!! thanks

and what is a flower bulb?? :)

Are you going to dinner somewhere? I was going to make recipe books with the recipes from our reception/dinner (the chefs will give you a recipe) That is something that everyone will use. Make a booklet, tie with ribbon and glue your glass slipper on top or have it sit in the slipper...oh btw the flower bulbs are the things that cause that green stuff to pop out of the ground about June in Nebraska! Did you win the 365 million?

Jonette,
Your cookbook idea is so original!!! As for the flower bulb, I'm guessing my sister thought it was a light bulb of some sort :) And boo, no she did not win the powerball :( We think that it was a group of 8 coworkers who work not far from the store it was sold in Lincoln. But man think of what a wedding she could have--and the favors to go with it :)

My vote would be for the personalized M&M's, in your wedding colors, with tuelle over them and tied in a ribbon with your names and wedding date.

The women at our wedding all got a little glass pig with a 5 pence coin inside it. It represented me (I love pigs) and my husband (he likes money lol).

I did glass slipper favors for my wedding. I bought Mickey shapped gummy's and put about 7 in each slipper. I wrapped them in celophane and tulle and tied them with a ribbon that had our names and wedding date on them along with 2 gold wedding rings. It fit nicely in the slipper and didn't fall out due to the way it was assembled.

Just thought I’d mention that you don’t need to give out a favor at your wedding. Your guests are attending your event out of the love that they feel for you and your fiancé. A favor is not expected, only the smile upon your faces when you say, “I do.”

:thumbsup2 I really like the cookbook idea !

:thumbsup2 me too (though I would have wanted the recipes for my own personal use...) LOL

That's one of the best, original ideas I've heard! love it!
