Ok - I know these are gross. And pricey. (Don't bother posting to tell me that! :rotfl2:) And DS *never* gets them at home. But, they might be a handy special snack during our 10-day WDW trip for early in the a.m. or before bed.

Staying at POR for the first time - but we're usually at a Deluxe with the larger fridge and teeny freezer area. Apparently, there's no freezer compartment in the small POR fridges. Anyone had luck - or not - keeping Uncrustables cold/frozen/edible at POR or other moderate?

We're thinking of having Garden Grocer deliver some with the rest of our grocery order after our flight gets in, but don't know if they'll work. The other storage option would be a small collapsible cooler packed with ice, I suppose, to kinda/sorta keep them frozen...anyone try this before? I just don't know if these are ok if thawed for a day (or more) in the fridge before eating them...no experience here.

Thanks for any help folks/parents can offer! I really appreciate it!

I haven't dealt with this but I would think they would be fine just refrigerated. There isn't any reason why they wouldn't be. I seem to remember though that our little fridge at WDW did have the tiny freezer area, but my memory may be failing me :rotfl:.

Just checking... But you do realize that nearly every kids menu in WDW includes Uncrustables, right? My kid is usually sick and tired of them after a week there. Lol.

To your question though, I think the box says to only keep them for 12 hours in the fridge once thawed. I think the bread would get yucky.

The bread gets hard/crusty in the fridge (yep put them in the fridge instead of the freezer on accident once and figured it out in 24 hours...they were no good).

I think it would be easier and take up less room to refrigerate the jelly and take bread and PB in a bag as they don't need refrigeration.

We took Uncrustables to Disney once when we stayed at Riverside. We set the refrigerator to the coldest setting and kept the Uncrustables in there. They were good for about three days. By the third day, they were beginning to get a bit questionable and by the fourth day, they were pretty much inedible.

Have the grocery deliever include pb, jelly, and a loaf of bread. Make your own sandwiches. We have done this in the past because my kids don't like the pb/j at WDW and uncrustables are so little they are like a snack.

Thanks so much! This is exactly the info I needed. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know about your experience! :worship:

I have to say that my 9y loves uncrustables, too. They are a DW treat for us, too. I noticed that they keep them in the fridge in the food courts. :confused3

We keep them in the fridge all the time here at home. I will say they start to look kind of wierd/gross, but they still taste the same. There is nothing wrong with them.
