Uncertain how to enter park

April will be my first time off site and buying tix through WDW. The tix are linked to individuals in my group and show up on MDE but there is no bar code/QR code to scan to enter the parks. We also will not have magic bands. Do we need to go to Guest Services first to get a card or is whatever is on MDE sufficient? TY!

Check to see if your confirmation email contains a bar code if you do not wish to spend time at Guest Services right away. One day my daughter forgot her magic band and I was told at the gate that it did- but then remembered I had the hard tickets so used those instead. I also could not find the bar code in MDE.

No. Just go to the park gate and you will be issued a plastic card ticket on-the-spot. Have your ticket info (on the phone is fine) and an ID with you.

Others have mentioned options to get a plastic card to use. But, you say this is your first time off site, so I am assuming that you have been before. If you have old magic bands from previous trips, they will still work.

Last time I went, I just went to the ticket booth outside of Magic Kingdom. They switched it over, gave me a plastic card and everything I had loaded on my account was transferred to the card. If things have changed since September of 2019 when it comes to that procedure, I can't help you.

Also, if the tickets are linked to each MDE account, each person can use any magicband associated with that account, even from previous trips, as long as it is active in the account.

Thank you for asking this question! I have been trying to figure this as well. WDW ME has my swan rooms and my tickets and my parks all on the app----lol-- I just did not have any email or physical card sent, I was lost! So I guess I just take my phone to the gate? No email was concerning me

Well, you can use MDE on your phone to show to the cast member at the touchpoint, who will issue you a ticket card.

The functionality to use ONLY MDE is not yet available (although it is coming soon).

Correct, and at that point you will be issued a plastic ticket card based on the information in your MDE. Unless you have old MagicBands from a previous trip, in which case those will work.
