But for those of you who had experienced sending boxes via parcel post, around how long did it take for your item to arrive to its destination?
According to my post office and of what I am familiar with, it usually takes 2-3 months, sometimes even sooner-you never know how things will go with the postal system right.

How was your experience?

OMG! Where is the destination?

OK, I normally use Priority b/c it takes 2 days to get to its destination and with the flat rate box, the price is better than regular parcel.
And even without the flat rate box the difference is less than a dollar, of course depending of the destination and size.

To Hawaii, the post office lady told me that it takes weeks or even months to get there when its parcel, b/c the parcel packages wait until the plane is full, and the priority go the same day.
I paid $8.10 for the seeds/garden exchange to Hawaii, I send it last Saturday and the box arrived Monday.

It is from Rhode Island to Hawaii.
It was this DISers first exchange, so I am not blaming her-it is a learning experience.

I didn't know how about the parcel post items being put on last and if there is space, thank you for that teaching lesson Roxy .

I know.

The mail girls are my friends (no kidding, me and Shawny are there almost every day ) so I asked them and they told me that, regular mail letters aren't so bad, but packages can take time.
