Hi All,

I was just checking airfare on Delta's website for a weekend in September that I was thinking of flying down to WDW from Hartford. Imagine my shock when it came up with the rate of $111 r/t !!

Needless to say, my weekend away has now been booked!;)

OKAY, now I am completely depressed!!! I don't even think a rendition of Small World is gonna cheer me up!! I booked yesterday out of Logan at 169 on Delta... I wake up this morning to Southwest offering a 109 fare out of Manchester, and now Delta, the same carrier out of Hartford is 111?? I watched and waited, waited & watched & still bought at the wrong time!!! Congrats on the great rate though!!

Sorry Chris1gill!

I was going to book the $165 rate yesterday and didn't get around to it. That's still a great rate though - I think anything under $200 is. Can they credit the difference?

Hi Cruella,

I booked our flights out of Boston, and they haven't dropped their direct flight rates as of about an hour ago.... once they do, if they do, I'll request the credit... with my luck, they won't discount Boston :-( You are right, any rate under 200 is good, but a 99.00 SWA fare is unbeatable!!!

I'll go back to singing Small World to cheer myself up!!!

i was checking the web sites when i saw the 111 fare its not just on the internet when i called my travel agent this morning she quoted me 178.00 but then i called delta direct and got it for 111.00 also then i went to the travel agent so she could give me the tickets and by then ALL the airlines, like delta, usair, and south west are 111.00 it finally was posted at the travel agnts sites, i think she said its if you go august thru september, maybe before august you would have to check but i know it ends september 30th. so i'm doing happy dance around my computer,

It looks like they are just now starting to discount Boston... Delta has lowered the fare on their connecting service... BUT.. American has now discounted their direct service... I suspect that as soon as US Airways lowers their direct rate, Delta will do the same THEN I'M GOING TO GET THE CREDIT!!! I can't believe I just bought my ticket YESTERDAY!!! UGH!!

Don't forget, the sw 99 fare is one way and rt must be purchased so it actually ends up being closer to $200 r/t.
FYI!

99.00 is the ROUND trip fare for September!! The little bit of good news is that US Air just lowered their rate in Boston to 98.00... I am HOPING that Delta will meet that as well... Right now almost every carrier EXCEPT Delta out of Boston has met or come close to the 99.00 fare... It's amazing to watch these carriers just throughout the day meeting & beating the competition!!!

HAPPY DANCE ! :bounce:

I originally booked our flight out of Columbus, Oh at the rate of $181 per person for our family of four. I just looked at the Delta rate on their website and the rate went down to $129 so off to the phone I ran. They are sending me a credit voucher of $52 per person (total of $208) to use on a future trip. It turned out to be a great day!

Hi BabsLittleOnes!!

I just booked Delta yesterday out of boston & they haven't discounted their direct flights yet, but I hope they do... I booked online... How will I go about asking for a credit? Do they normally offer it? I can remember a time when they didn't if that's the case!! I'll be happy just as soon as they discount that rate!! Congrats on your happy day!

I could not believe my eyes when the $111.00 rate came up today...actually it looks like $98 at first..but it's 111.00 when all is said and done. I will be flying DELTA NONSTOP...i cannot believe it!! I'll be flying from Hartford too!!!!

By the way...it's not just Delta...i could have flown many different airlines...I was able to to my searching on Travelocity....

I almost bought yesterday on Midway airlines for 136.. soooo glad i didn't.

Now...do you think the $98 airfare will drop?

By the way...found the rate for a friend for $68 from Hartford to Jacksonville (grant you it is via Detroit)..but still...LOOK AT THAT PRICE!!!

I am sooooo doing the Happy DANCE!!:bounce: :pinkbounc :bounce: :pinkbounc

I was going to be driving down..but NO MORE!!

Good luck to everyone getting a great air fare...

Just booked AA direct Boston to Orlando for $109.50 RT includes all taxes, etc. I called US Air and Delta and they still had their lowest price around 210.00

I suggest using Travelocity online...it'll walk you through many discounted options and airlines...

I did not get the rates when I went to the airlines directly. I strongly reccommend usint the Travelocity web site!

Good luck,
