Unbelievable! Another "windshield" incident!

Well at least one appears to not have been all doped up and drunk and just plain stupid!! At least it was reported.

What is WRONG with people????

What do you mean? The guy reported the accident. I would hardly compare this case to that loony toon down in Texas that let the man die.

Flame me, but this doesn't sound like the boy did anything wrong. If was after midnight, and he didn't have a cell phone with him. What should he have done? Stop the car and wait for someone to come along to call for help? If his house was only a mile away, he might have been thinking his chances of getting to a phone were quicker that way.

IMO, the boy was thinking clearly. If it had been me, I probably would have just stopped the car and started screaming. How much time would I have wasted doing that?

That article was much to explicit for the morning!!
Finding legs and then what his car must of looked like, I just cant even imagine. UGGGGGG:(

No flames here -- it does sound like he did whatever he could to try to help the man. This sounds more like an unfortunate accident, as opposed to the woman in Texas (who compounded the problem by A.) not calling for help at all and B.) trying to cover up the whole incident.

Believe it or not, here's ANOTHER windshield incident similar to the one in the headlines recently --

What is WRONG with people????:confused::mad:

According to the story the kid hadnt been drinking or taking drugs. The man hit was wearing dark clothing--very hard to see in the dark. It was report as soon as the kid got to a phone. I dont know about you but living in a rural area with little to no street lights if people are in the street in dark clothes and no reflective type material it is impossible to see them until you are upon them. Sound like just a tragic accident, I dont think the kid did anythig wrong.
He actions were in no way similar to the stupid, uncaring woman here in Texas.

The police said the boy didn't do anything wrong.

even with street lights it is difficult to see people wearing dark clothing at night.

i was going 30 mph a block away from my house a couple nights ago around 10 pm and there was some guy walking in the middle of the road wearing all black. i didn't see him until i was like 20 feet away. if i had been going faster...

granted the street lights were partially obstructed by trees but still...

it does sound like a tragic accident. :(

Okay... um... Ew?

I also don't think the boy did anything wrong. And I'm like SilverLily... I would have wasted much more time panicking than he "wasted" driving to a phone.

What a sad story. :(

It is sad. Thte poor driver will have much to deal with in the years to come. But, from what it sounds like, he didn't do anything wrong.
