"unavailable" faxes to your phone #

How do you get them to STTTOOOPPPPP?????

We keep getting unsolicited faxes sent to our (now) phone -line- only #....we have a new seperate line for faxes that's unlisted.

They call at all hours of late at night and early in the morning...aaaarrrggghhhh.

(And I'm already signed up to the "Do Not Call" list)

I get faxes to my cell phone number and I wonder how to get it to stop. On the voicemail all it does is have that beep and my phone says that I have one new fax message. I don't know how to get the message or make it stop. I would like to get the message so I know who to call and have them stop faxing to that phone number.

I transfer it to our fax machine. If you have a fax machine # handy, and a transfer button, I say try it.

We had this issue about a month ago. We were receiving calls in the middle of the night. I simply took the phone off the hook before I went to bed and put it back on the hook when I got up. My family knew to call my cell if there was an emergency.

I did this for about a week. I believe that must have sent something back to the calling phone/fax indicating that it was not a valid number. After a week I left the phone on the hook at night. I haven't gotten a call from since.

My problem is different because it was from only one place. I couldn't trace the number because it was out of area. The phone company couldn't do anything except refer me to the "Annoying and Harrassing Phone Call Center".

I've had an unlisted number for 21 years and somehow they still got my number. I have a fax but I connect it only when I need it.

If you can break the cycle of them calling they may stop.

Have you called the Annoying and Harrassing Phone Call Center? That would be my first step.

The Annoying and Harrassing phone call center needs to have a number transmitted to them three times before they take action. I have it set up where I hit a key to trace when I get a call. I never needed to use it because breaking the cycle of the faxes coming in the middle of the night stopped the calls.

As an ironic twist, I found it nearly impossible to get a human to answer the phone at the Annoying......Call center. They annoyed me even more
