Unacceptable behavior in the pirates game...

I would personally hate to see the chat feature turned off inthe game. I enjoy being able to communicate in the game and I think it would be very sad to have this feature removed. I am also very tired of the rude comments and dictionary dances but I think that vmk can curb this with out removing the chat. We know that there are key words and phrases that trigger warnings and bans. I think that vmk needs to pay attention to what is being said inthe pirates games and pirates lobby and add these phrases to that list of triggers. People say so many rude things in the pirate games because they feel like they can get away with it there and because the report button isn't handy in the mini game. You don't see nearly so much of the choice phrases used in the mini game any where else in vmk....

I have to comment on the cheating thing - sorry can't resist - I have to disagree with the person who posted that they think sitting on the flag is cheating...It is just one of many strategies to play the game in my opinion.

One time I was playing and I won, then a person from the other team said <removed> you know what she meant right? Then i responded ' Yes I know I am a duck'

Anyways, I too am shocked at how many dirty-mouthed players there are hanging around in the pirate game these days. I wish there was some magical VMK cleansing thing that just swept out all the cheaters, and rude players that now inhabit all the guest areas. Hah! That would be the day!

What I think is the worst thing, is how you feel so helpless when somebody does give you some lip. You can't say rude, which I totally do not understand; if someone is being rude you ought to be able to tell them off at least!

If you do say something, you really can't say what you mean. Like how Mal once posted that she said ''I hat ugly players'' (meaning foul-mouthed players)and she got a warning. Its just not fair how they think they're one up on us when they say something totally unneccessary and we can't do anything about it!

I love the idea of turning off chat in games, its just not essential most of the time; if somebody doesn't know how to play the game they should first read the instructions and then look for someone in the lobby to help them out further. Other than that the chat is just for sore losers and bad winners to ''swear'' or rub everybody else's nose in it.

Maybe you should post your idea on one of those ''ask Yavn'' threads!
