Ummmm....really???????

So, heard from the school today...the little guy's first day is now pushed back to Wednesday (for now). Everyone else starts Monday as planned. THe kids in the affected school do not have to make the days up, either. It is considered an emergency by the state. Just an update for anyone interested!!

Haha!!! Yeah...he wasn't too upset about it. His brother and sister, on the other hand think "that's so unfair!!"

I am glad he will be able to stay at his school- a day extra summer break isn't a big deal- in fact I am sure he will enjoy it.

Yep...he's just fine with it!! And, that was my exact response to the other two..."life is never fair!!!" LOL The things they worry about...if they only knew!

A couple years ago we had a fire in our elementary school just before the year started. The Administration kept telling parents it's day by day but we expect to open on..... well, this went on for 2 weeks! In the end they didn't have to make up any days and the classrooms in the wing that was effected were sent to Town Hall, the Middle School Gym, anyplace really where they could have the kids that were without a room. The fire was contained to only one classroom but the smoke and water damage was horrible! Everything that couldn't be cleaned in the entire building had to be thrown away. Lots of teachers lost lots of items in their rooms.
