DH and I are expecting a baby in January. About two weeks ago DH suggested a quick trip to WDW - our last fling before the kiddo. I think, "Yeaaaaaaaaaa how fun!" What I don't think is "It's going to be summer hot in Orlando and I have no clothes to wear." We leave tomorrow night and I just started thinking about packing last night. I wasn't wearing maternity clothes at all until a few weeks ago and I'm a teacher so most of my maternity clothes are professional-type, fall things - not things you wear to Disney in 86 degree weather. I do have one pair of jeans but I had them on outside yesterday playing with our dog and I got sooooo hot (it was about 70 degrees). I don't know if I could even find shorts and things at this point anyway. So what do I wear? I can still wear some of my t-shirts and I was thinking I might be able to wear some of DH's basketball shorts - which will be so attractive :teeth: . I don't really care what I look like - I just want to be comfy and have fun!

No idea's here, but congrats!

You may want to try a Goodwill of Salvation Army clothing store. They have maternity sections and I'm sure you'll be able to find a few pairs of shorts and shirts. If not, the basketball shorts will be fine. :)

Try a quick run to Target. They have a maternity section and things are fairly inexpensive. I bought several work-out outfits when I was pregnant and something like that would probably work well for you. They have loose fitting but stretchy work out shorts and some loose fitting maternity work-out tank tops. You would be able to incorporate your T-Shirts with them as well.

do you have any friends who have recently been pregnant?..my daughter and her friends exchange maternity clothes so maybe someone has a few things you could borrow for your trip. or around here some stores till have some summer stuff for like 75% off so maybe you could find a few capris/shorts with draw strings?( like exercise type wear)

Maybe stop by WalMart or Target when you get there. They'll probably have some right???

Some department stores still have some on clearance, but not much. Maybe a sporting goods store would have girly type sweatshorts???

And Congrats!!!!!

I say wear Hubby's shorts. If they work why spend money on clothes you only need for a week or so. Unless you are planning more childern then you could pack them up with what you already have for next time. If you really need some shorts of your own check the consignment(sp?) shops in your area. They usually will have high quality clothes at a fraction of the cost.

Thanks for all the ideas! I hadn't thought about work-out shorts from somewhere like Target. I don't want to spend a lot of money since who knows if I'll ever wear them again after this week. I honestly can't believe I didn't think about this before!

This is a great idea. In the warmer areas like FL the stores there tend to carry more of the summer type clothing all year. Also hit the clearance racks at any and all stores that carry maternity in your area, that's where you'll find the summer stuff if there's any left to be found. You could get 1 or 2 shorts in neutral colors and mix and match with regular non-maternity tees but in a bigger size. In any case, have a great time. Life will never be the same after baby! But in a good way of course! :earsboy:

congrats, and what a nice dh you have! I'd try to scrape together an outfit or 2 out of your tshirts and dh's bball shorts, then hit Target or WallyWorld when you get there if you want another outifit or 2. A big loose sundress would work too.

Have fun, take it easy and drink lots of water!
