Umbrellas and shade tents

We are at typhoon lagoon today and there are umbrellas (brought in not just here) everywhere and wen a shade tent.

We come often and for some reason I thought you couldn't use those things here.

I asked (since I have my beach stuff in the car) and they said the tent is a no - but umbrellas are okay.

Did anyone else think these were on the no list?
