I was just looking at the updated Yachtsman Menu on allearnet and I'm really wondering if this is a typo...

Nope...ugly tomatoes are real! That's another name for heirloom tomatoes.

Thank you! I would think "heirloom" might be a more appealing word on a menu though

I just bought some "ugly" tomatoes the other day.

They are wrinkly on the top near the stem. I do not eat tomatoes so I can't tell you how they taste, I assume like any other tomato.

Ugly Ripe is a brand name. It doesn't sound appealing, but they taste great.
