Hi everyone,

I'm planning a trip for a friend and I for August 2015. I am from Ireland and she is from the US. I've been shopping around to find the best ticket prices for us and discovered the UK/IRL 14-day Ultimate Tickets which are perfect for what we need and would save us about $40 each compared to UT.

I'm just wondering if it's all right for me to buy two of these tickets in Ireland and then for my friend to use one on her Magic Band given that she's not from the UK or Ireland? I'm fairly sure it would be fine but I thought I'd ask the experts before I booked them!

Thanks in advance :)

Technically no it's not okay for your US friend to use one of these tickets as she is not resident in one of the designated countries. Whether she would actually be prevented from using it I don't know but I would be hesitant to risk it.

I figured that was the case but as I couldn't see anything about residency in the terms and conditions I thought it might be okay as long as the purchaser was resident. Thanks for your response!

I live in Ireland & I bought All the park tickets Here ( Dublin ) & were used by me & my relations from the Netherlands .

no Problems . How would they know that YOUR FRIEND WAS NOT LIVING in USA.

Your Friend might be living in Ireland for years But still has USA passport,

Go & Buy the tickets Enjoy yourselves

UK tickets as well as the WDTC-uk site are designed for EU guests, so netherlands is included and your friends from the netherlands could also buy those tickets from irish sites (in euros) or from the uk site (in gbp), same as i do here from France

The trick is that those tickets can't be purchased from the usa as they are ''international tickets'' (or rather ''non-us tickets'')

As long as they're purchased from outside of the usa or canada, they can be used by anyone

There are only rules surrounding purchase of the tickets - not around who actually uses them. There is nothing to stop you buying one for your friend to use. :thumbsup2

Brilliant, thanks! We can put the saved money into a nice dinner :thumbsup2
