Okay while I am trying to sort out my confusion about what passes to buy for my June stay, and while I feel the pressure to make a decision quickly due to the rumoured price increase I have yet another part to add to the mix. If I am staying at 2 resorts for my 8 night stay (3 @ AKL and 5 @BC) do I have to purchase seperate passes(3 nite UHP and then a 5 nite UHP)...this would add up to alot more money than just purchasing one 8 night pass. I am also a DC member is there a discount given at checkin for the UHP? Sorry for all the questions...I am trying desperately to figure this all out before 3/19! Someone posted saying they found confirmation on the increase on the intercot site...anyone know where...I couldn't find it! Thanks again...these boards are so valuable to me!!!

Have you ever thought of buying an annual pass?

There is a disney club discount for UPH:

Since you will be staying at 2 resorts, you will need to drop the first day of the second pass so that you are not paying twice for that day. For example, if your first resort is Sun, Mon, Tues, check-out Wed and your second resort is check-in Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, check-out Mon, your first UPH will be good through Wednesday, so you want your second one to start Thursday, not Wednesday when you check-in. So you would want a 5 day/4 night for the second pass. It does add up to alot more when you buy 2 separate. You may want to consider an annual pass.

If you are going to get the UPH, you would be better served to get it when you get there. I have heard that you cannot drop days unless you get it when you are there. And, you would need 2 different passes, although this could work to your advantage as well. I have heard of people getting as much as two days (day of arrival and end day) taken off the pass. Depending on what time you arrive, you might see about taking the day of and the last day at AK off (thus getting a 2 day UMP, a little more than $100 per person), and then getting the last day off at BC (depending on when you leave). An AP could be a good deal (and could save money on the room as well, check out http://www.mousesavers.com for details). Enjoy your trip (after you have earned your doctorate of Disney-ticketology).
