UK to US clothing size differences

I was in All-Sport today, looking at some toddler/baby clothing, amd we liked the look of a pink Addidas track suit thing for girls (obviously), so I went to find the correct size and it said the following : (remember this is a reputable make).....

UK 12-18M
US 24M
Europe 24M


Now correct me if i'm wrong, but I dont remember our babies growing any faster than the rest of the world ????

My daughter is 12 and if i purchase clothes in the uk i have to buy age 9/10 and she is not little in comparison with her friends here in Spain

This is one for the guys. NEVER buy clothes for females!! I bought some jeans a few years ago when on a solo trip to Orlando. My DW is a size 10/12 here in the UK so I thought that she would be the same size in the States. Wrong!! They were SO big that she's never ever worn them.

Cost me a small fortune to make it up to her.

lol... Andy... there's i *think* two whole sizes difference (4 actual numbers...) so a US 10 is actually a UK 14!
