I figured this would probably be the best place to ask this... does UK Pubside have a good view of the fireworks? I noticed there's some sort of trellis there, as well as some trees.... I just want to make sure it's worth the cost for two people and has a good view!

UK Pubside has one of the BEST views. You can stand at the railing and it feels like you're right next to the fireballs on the water. You can also stand off to the side, out from under the roof.

I did a full trip report on our first anniversary party at UK Pubside here: http://disneytravelbabble.com/disney-weddings/our-wedding/anniversary-party/

Thanks Lurkyloo! Your pictures look amazing! I was concerned with the tree's and the overhang, but it looks like it didn't affect you AT ALL! What fabulous pictures! It definitely seems to be our only and best option for 2 people. I'm actually surprised by how little the price went up from when you did it to now!

Can I ask, did it feel private since it seems like there are tables very closely nearby? I'm wondering if I should have Disney do some sort of draping to make it a little more private or if it is fine as is!

I'm also trying to think if I should do some sort of private dinner before this, which would include some private character interaction. This would be pricey. On the alternative end, Hubs has always wanted to try Yachtsmen Steakhouse, which is one of the only restaurants we have yet to dine at, which would definitely be the MUCH less expensive option (to eat there, then go to EP for UK Pubside dessert party vs having them plan this grand private dinner and then going to the dessert party). I have to say the planner Disney put me in touch with is FABULOUS and offering a ton of suggestions. I'm impressed :thumbsup2 I think it also may be because I told him what a horrible experience we had last year when we booked the Grand 1. They cancelled on us hours before we were supposed to depart and wouldn't help me book something else, leaving me high and dry.

Lastly, I think this may be the best place to ask this, aside from the characters, is there a list somewhere of "other" characters (although that may be the wrong word)…other entertainment Disney offers? I know they do the barbershop quartet, characterists, what else?

There aren't any trees down at UK Pubside: http://disneytravelbabble.com/disney-weddings/wdw-venue-photos/uk-pubside/

We've done two events there and never even noticed anyone the other side of the little fence separating Pubside from the Rose & Crown patio. I think it will feel plenty private to you!

You wouldn't be able to have characters, but you could do dinner at UK Pubside - it doesn't have to be dessert. We just did a party there with a build-your-own macaroni and cheese bar. It was soooo good!

However, Yachtsman would be cheaper and still nice because you could have a leisurely stroll over to Epcot after.

They don't really publish a list. Did you get married at Disney? I put a bunch of them in PassPorter's Disney Weddings & Honeymoons, if you have that, in the Entertainment section of the Wishes chapter. :thumbsup2

Oh okay, it looked like there were little shrub trees and then larger tree's from one of those little islands. It must have just been the pictures I was looking at on Google. Or heck, maybe it wasn't even the right spot I was looking at (can never trust Google).. thanks!

Awesome, thanks!

I didn't mean at UK Pubside. The planner offered some other private location options that are inside so you can have characters, but WOW - expensive!

Oh okay. No we didn't get married at Disney. I'll have to dig around a little.

Thanks so much for all your help and answers!! :goodvibes
