UK ID needed for License?

Hi everyone,
Can someone who has been a UK bride tell me for sure what ID we need to take to get the marriage license please?

Is it just a passport, or a passport and a birth certificate? We leave on Sunday

Any other things I need to take to get the licence? A certificate to swear I'm single?

i took my passport and birth certificate with me (i got told to take birth certificate), but they only needed our passports. i'd say take both just in case but you'll only need your passport
