UK help with Magic Bands, My Disney Experience etc

We are staying in the Swan and Dolphin for our Honeymoon in September. I have a few questions that some help answering would be appreciated... :thumbsup2

1) Am I correct in thinking that as we live in the UK, the Magic Bands can't be shipped to us?

2) We are staying in the Swan and Dolphin so again, I understand we can't order Magic Bands before we go, we have to buy them when we get there...is this right?

3) If question 2 is correct, how do we link the bands and book Fastpassess+ etc if we don't have the bands until we get there?

4) We are going in September. I understand we can book Fastpass+ 60 days in advance (as the Swan allows this) but does this also mean we can't actually add our reservation for the Hotel on to the My Disney Experience website? The booking reference we have (we booked through Thomsons) doesn't work and wondered if it's because its too early to even add that yet or if it is something to do with the reference itself.

People have sent me the links on here for Magic Bands and Fastpass+ etc but they don't seem to answer my questions as they only really go in to detail for onsite guests etc. Any help would be appreciated :goodvibes
 
You are correct, Magic Bands are not shipped to the UK. Since you are staying at Swan & Dolphin, you will not be entitled to receive free Magic Bands anyway so will need to buy them when you get there.

You don't link the bands yourself, they will be linked for you when you buy them (I believe they sell them in the gift shops at the hotel but there are plenty of other locations where you can buy them).

The bands just act as a 'key' to unlock the information in My Disney Experience, which is where your Swan/Dolphin reservation and your tickets will be linked. You can still make your FP+ reservations and ADRs using MDE, all that happens when you buy and link the bands is that the band will allow the information to be accessed when you swipe them.

You should be able to add your booking to MDE now, so check with Thomson (make sure they know that you need the refernce to link to MDE).

I'm really annoyed at Thomsons because when we went in the other day to ask them about adding the reservation for the hotel to MDX, they said it was because we had to wait until 60 days before. Now, I know you can't book FP+ until then but I at least thought I could add the hotel...and it seems I was right.
