UK Candy

I am wondering......will they deliver the candy to your hotel as they will with other purchased goods?

I am not too keen on carrying a cooler around epcot with me, but I obviously don't want them to melt.

I believe food & beverage items are one of the things they won't send to your room. Health & Safety issues, y'know.

Now, that's not to say that if you bought something large and it came with a box, and concea....I mean, accidentally put food items in the larger box, it probably would end up where you want it to. The condition and edibility of those food items however, is at your own risk.

I've seen people bring small insulated beverage coolers (for water) into the parks. Mine is only about the size of a six-pack of soda, Along with an ice-pack, that should work for transporting back some candy.

can anyone tell me if the UK candy/chocolate has the ingredients labeled well? and if they label Gluten Free??

I know that US Cadbury Eggs at Easter time have "May contain...blah blah". But I would love to be able to pick stuff right off the shelf, and not have to look at the website while im standing in the store.

So, I am going to be in Epcot in exactly 1 week from today. I am looking to get my hands on candy from the Tea Caddy shop in the UK pavilion. My grandmother's brother always brought boxes of Cadbury stuff over when he would visit, and it evokes fond memories for me to have 'British candy'.

Can anyone help me, or tell me, what's available? I remember the Flake, as it is my favorite. The rest however, is only bits and pieces.

I have vague recollections of something called Crunchie, something called Aero, and something with a honeycomb like middle. The words Double Decker are also springing to my mind, but I don't remember if this is a candy bar, or some odd euphamism. I think they also sell Kit Kat's but I can get those here.

Pictures would be awesome, but I'll settle for a list. Anyone been recently who has a better memory than me? I think I'll have to take pics next week, so that I can remember better.

Crunchie is honeycomb toffee coated in chocolate

Aero is aerated chocolate, basically it is chocolate with little bubbles, it tastes very light.

I don't know the specific answer, BUT:
1. UK labeling laws are much stricter than US.
2. Cadbury eggs in the US are the same as Cadbury chocolate in the UK. They're a similar idea licensed, made, and distributed by a different company.

So, *if* they're really selling Cadbury chocolate imported from Europe, then it should be clearly labeled.

By the way, to the person who brought up Hershey's: Hershey's and Cadbury are really just different kinds of cheap plasticky chocolate, it's just that most people are more tolerant of the cheap plasticky chocolate they grew up with than the kind they'd get elsewhere. Mint Aero bars taste like the fake mint flavoring in cheap ice cream--so do mint M&Ms.

Actually Fruit & Nut is Almonds and Whole Nut is Hazlenut but close enough

I'll be honest i eat neither of these.

I don't remember what is available at Epcot. If they have Ripple, you might want to try that. It's like a Flake but it has an outer covering of chocolate. Other favorites are the Flake, Double Decker, Toffee Crisp and Starbar.

Totally off topic, but I figured I'd try since it's about the UK Pavillion. I was there for the last weekend of Star Wars Weekends a few weeks back and I fell in love with this beautiful purple leather bag. I was wondering if any of y'all could name a few of the brands that Disney sells in the UK Pavillion. The same brand made this really pretty flannel shawl and matching bag. I don't think I can afford to buy it, but it's always fun to window shop.

a Crunchie is honeycomb covered in chocolate, an Aero is light 'bubbly chocolate - uasually either chocolate or mint chocolate, a Double Decker is nougat with rice crispies and choclate. The only other think I remember seeing there is a 'curley wurley' which is a long thin bar of chocolate covered toffee.
Curley Wurleys used to be 15p ($0.25) about 10 years ago! Cant imagen how much they are in Epcot now!

I think last month I paid like $3.00 for a Curly Wurly . I normally wouldn't do that but I had a craving. What I do usually do is go to Walmart and I can get the same candy (there is usually an aisle with international foods) for much cheaper. I have also found that World Market here sells UK Cadbury for reasonable prices.

I love curly wurlys ! They are $1 at our local bulk store. IDK but I can get a lot of neat british food, I really wanted to try the spotted dick pudding but with a $5 price tag it's out of my" lets try it" price range. I'm thinking of buying a can of mushy peas but I wouldn't have a clue as to how to eat it...

Get some battered fish, steak cut chips/fries and enjoy your mushy peas with that!
