Hi everyone! We paid our deposit by credit card back in November and our minimum amount is due in July. Just wondered what the best/most cost effective way of paying the balance is. Obviously we got hit with a foreign exchange fee on the credit card. Has anyone used those pre-loadable cards? Thanks for your help! :goodvibes

Yes, we are planning on using FairFX, especially as the rate is very favourable at the moment (1.63). We used it last year for most of our $ and found it totally hassle free :goodvibes

There is another website - not sure if I can link it here where you can get the card for free (normally I think it is £10ish).

Another Fairfx fan here!!! I have used it for the past two trips to US, have paid everything for our VR on it and intend to use it again for the trip!!! I think it's brilliant as you get a really good exchange rate on it too!!

I'll be on the hunt for a new zero rate credit card - however I havent used my Virgin CC in at least a year and they keep making me good offers so hopefully...

Another FairFx fan. I don't like credit cards, and refuse to have one so it was a great solution. The exchange rates are fantastic on it too.

We have a Santander Zero credit card, so no fees ;)

Thank you for all the replies! :thumbsup2

I've used my Fairfx card the last few holidays to the US and it has worked great for me so will be using that to make payments to Disney for the wedding.
Infact I've been topping it up already while the exchange rate has been around $1.63 :)
