Oh dear. While driving today, my airbag light came on. That's not a good sign. Guess I know where I'm driving after work :sad2:

This happened to me last fall, and I finally (:eek:) got it taken care of this summer! The front left sensor had failed so my own airbag is the one that wouldn't have deployed in the event of an accident! :scared1:

I'm horrified I let it go on as long as I did - get it fixed as soon as you can. Yes, I know airbags are a recent safety innovation and our parents didn't have them, yadda yadda yadda, but I can't believe I let my kids be at risk of losing me all that time!

You're smarter than me! :thumbsup2

I freak out if ANYTHING is lit or not working properly on my car. Any light, sound, smell... I go get it checked. I feel like I'm there all the time.

The hypochondriac of cars... :rotfl:

Mine turned on last week and has been lit up off and on since. I keep thinking that it must not really be broken because it doesn't come on every time I start it up. The vehicle is not even three years old yet....:(

I guess I'll have to take it in sometime.

The last time I had an air bag light came on it got fixed really quick - I removed the light bulb.

We did replace the bulb and repair the connection when I was ready to get rid of the car but since I wear my seat belt, I really don't feel like an airbag is necessary equipment.

:rotfl2 about how you fixed it!!

Anybody smell popcorn::

google your type of vehicle and airbag light. When mine came on, I did this, and it turned out that ours has a cable that runs under the front seat (you know, where I jam my McDonalds bags;) unfortunately). DH was able to check it, and it never came on again (and I don't put anything under the seat anymore!).

Mine's been on for some time now, too. Guess I'll check under the seat. No telling what is under there.

Actually if you have an airbag in you car your seat belts react differntly than a car that does not have air bags. An air bag should be fixed for safety reasons.

Mine comes on and goes off randomly. I've had it checked and it's a problem with the light not the airbag. So I should be covered but who really knows.

Mine went out this summer 3 days before my 400+ mile trip! I was so scared that it wouldn't be fixed in time, but they were quick and I had the car back the next day. Turned out a sensor went bad.

If you fill out the NTSB form to request an on/off switch for a vehicle, it has no warning about seat belts reacting differently. So I'm curious to know where you got this information? We have an on/off switch on both the passenger and driver sides in our truck because I cannot sit 10 inches back from the wheel and still get the clutch all the way in. So that air bag is disabled most of the time. It has a light but that annoyed me, so we removed the light bulb in that one too!
