So frustrated! !!!
Due to unavoidable family circumstances we have to cancel another Disneyland trip this year!!! That means this year's APs were used for a week last Christmas and 4 days of a (barf-o-rama) trip in May. (We battled a stomach bug that trip). So now our next chance to go down to DL will be Christmas break.

Yes I know I am spoiled, getting to go several times a year.... it's just that I feel like we didn't get our money's worth this year.... technically if you crunched the numbers with food, souvenir and GCH discounts we did with the Christmas trip.... it just doesn't feel like it. :(

Sorry I just needed to vent a little.

 That is frustrating.
I don't blame you .............I feel we need at least 3 trips to make the AP worth it......we probably don't, but I need that many.

Hope the next one works out for you

I am sorry you had to cancel another trip...that is such a bummer! Hopefully your Christmas trip will exceed all of your expectations...and no one gets sick. :thumbsup2

:faint:

But you'll have Christmas! Correct? And....that is right around the corner..... :)

Correct!!!! I'm starting to get excited about that, too.
Thanks everyone.

At least you have plans to go again. I on the other hand am probably getting ready to go on my last Disney vacation, and that won't even be to my favorite park, Disneyland.

We are going to Disney World in 76 days and by the way things are going here it is looking like this will be it for Disney or any vacations. Money is getting thinner and thinner and retirement is just around the corner and I know once that comes up there will definitely be no more Disney trips as we will be living on Social Security as my getting laid off from my job back when the recession started made me take my 401k and use that to purchase the mobile home we are now living in. I probably shouldn't even be going on this one money wise, but we wanted to go with our 2 now adult kids to Disney World as they have never been. 1 of our 3 kids have been with his wife's family, but my 2 still single kids have never been.

So feel fortunate that you live close enough that you will still be able to go again, and even have plans to go again. Whenever that thought of canceling a trip comes into your head remember that there are those of us that are out here that are out of time for ever going again and you at least are fortunate enough to be able to go again and that should put a smile back on your face. :)

And don't feel bad for me either, I have had a great many trips to Disneyland, and have enjoyed every one of them, and will still have the memory of the happiest place on earth in my heart until the day the put me in the grave.

Aww....I am so sorry. I do feel bad for you. Enjoy that trip to WDW!
DH recently retired, but luckily is doing some contracting, so we can still take vacations.

You made me tear up. Cherish your memories and always remember how blessed your life has been.
I would never have become a Disneyland fan if my DH hadn't talked me into going in 2009. Growing up my family was too busy to take vacations (we drove from Ca to Ok every year to visit family. Never a theme park) and I was following that pattern with my kids. I am so thankful that we broke that cycle. My girls are now excited for they day they get to take me on vacations.
Be happy you got to experience all the magic with your children and maybe some day it will be their turn to share it with you.

Well.... It happened again!!!
We are now cancelling the third trip this year. We are going to let our APs expire and have no plans of going back soon.

It feels very odd. Disneyland has been such a major part of our lives for the last 5 years. There are just too many things going on in our family right now. We have to concentrate on what is at home.

I will still browse the boards. I love hearing all of your stories.

Ok so that just stinks! :faint:
I am sorry that you had to cancel your trip plans again.
But......who knows? Maybe, just maybe, you will be able to visit before your APs expire. Hey, you never know.

Thanks, but no such luck. They expire Dec. 22.
Things change. People change. Life changes.
I am glad I got to go as much as I did. I know so many people (right here in Calif) that have never been.
I'm sure more visits to DL will be in my future. It just may be awhile and different.

Well, this makes me sad. I feel like you are my Disney friend. I have learned so much from you about touring with my family. I'm sorry you won't get in a holiday trip!

Well don't that just suck. :sad1: Sorry to hear this. Hang in there, you will get back, you're a Disney fanatic and you won't be able to go long without getting that fix in. That or your daughters bug the hell out of you until you just have to go to get them off your back.

Thanks everyone. Life is taking a drastic turn for me, but I am sure my girls and I will be back... even if they have to be the ones taking me. :)
