Unknown Object Hovering In St. Paul Sky

Aug 19, 2004 7:21 pm US/Central
St. Paul (AP) There's an unknown object hovering in the sky over the Twin Cities, and it doesn't appear to be a bird or a plane.

Meteorologist Tony Zaleski of the National Weather Service in Chanhassen says the white object appears to be higher than the white, whispy cirrus clouds, which means it's probably higher than 30,000 feet.

Although the object looked like it might be rotating, it doesn't appear to be going anywhere. Zaleski says that probably would rule out a satellite.

Patrick Hogan at the Metropolitan Airports Commission says folks in the tower at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport thought it might be a weather balloon. But Zaleski says if that's true, the Weather Service didn't release it.

The Federal Aviation Administration hasn't returned calls about the mysterious object.

I guess this was causing quite the delay for some people on their commute home yesterday. We were heading north out of Mpls and never saw a thing, but we heard about it on every radio station. I didn't see any news coverage though. We were told it was a weather balloon, but not actually a balloon--I can't remember what they said it was. I haven't heard anything about it today. Anyone else from MN to give an update?

So that's it. Aliens abducted the real Joe Nathan during the Yanks/Twins games last night.

As a Yanks fan, I'd like to say a big "Thank you.";)

(For those not into baseball, the Yanks and Twins played at the Metrodome last night and after being down 9-3, the Twins staged a terrific comeback, brought in their excellent closer, Joe Nathan, who hadn't given up a run in something like 29 innings and then proceeded to give up 4 of them in one inning:crazy: Aliens were
most definitely involved;) )

Thats so cool! I also read that a meteorite fragment landed in someone's backyard in CA. It was still, a steaming piece of fused rock. The dog found it, lol.
:o

Maybe the two incidents are related? Interject Twilight Zone music here..........:earseek:

I don't want to go on an alien ship. I get motion sickness.
