So we've been back 2 weeks.

My husband is already asking, "So when are we going back?"

:lmao::lmao:

I have succeeded in tainting him! *evil laugh*

Now I pose a question to you all, we went to WDW in '08 and 2x in 09.... should we go in 2010 or should we take a break for one year? I am so torn as to what to do!? :confused3:confused3

2010 is our official 5 year wedding anniversary though we've been together 14 years (geez that seems like a long time! lol) we are thinking of heading to Hawaii (or something similar) in February to ride out the Olympics for a couple of weeks so should we try and go to WDW around her Anniversary in October? Maybe go for Food and Wine? Or should we head back to Tofino to my absolute favorite cabins?

Uuugh so much to think of!

Why not go toward the end of 2010. Either do the Food and Wine Festival or go in early December for the Christmas stuff. You could also try doing a trip to Disneyland - you need much less time there (4 days is perfect) and you could throw in other things in California onto the same trip.

So many possibilities!
I second the getting out of town for the Olympics (I'm going to Turkey!)

DVC makes it so easy for us to go back again and again. But why not consider Hilton Head or Vero Beach instead? I hear both are great resorts and may be a nice change for your anniversary. ANd if you get WDW withdrawal you could always just drive there!

Of course, you may have run out of points, and I am not the one to tell you that maybe you need to add on more.

I'm in the same boat. We got back 2 weeks ago today and I've already asked 'when are we going back?' Which is really weird since I really felt that we have over done WDW. Right up to our trip I was not excited and even for a few hours after we arrived I felt we should have gone someplace different. We have been there 7 times in the last 5 years. Plus several times before that.

When I asked the question DH (who I would not say loves it there) said 'maybe for your birthday'......my b-day is in December :scared1:. Unless he has money that I don't know about we aren't going again in 3 months. :confused3

If hawaii is where you want to go, you could always do what we do-make Disneyland California a stop on your way back. It cuts the travel time and helps with the jetlag!

OOOPPPSSS!!!Just saw you are in BC-never mind about the jet lag thing!

I agree a nice trip to Vero is a great break. We did three trips to WDW within 9 months and then did Vero. We had a great time and still got a slight disney fix even though it was hard to fly into Orlando and not head to WDW but it did make the next trip better.

We've been to DL and WDW this year and booked bouceback for next August. DH goes to California for business and I am always keeping an eye of flights so we can join him. I have come to the conclusion that you can't have too much Disney. It just gets better!:wizard:

I've been contemplating DL -- I've not been since '94 (I think!) then maybe have a side trip from there.

How wonderful your DH wants to go back! It takes many years for me to convince my DH to go back to WDW. It's been an average of 5 years between trips.

Oh ick.. well until our trip in '08 it was a decade since we last went!! :scared1:

We are just heading to WDW for the 1st time however have travelled alot over the past few years. There are so many places to go, see and do that if it was me, I would go somewhere else. I have been to DL and enjoyed it but not enough to go multiple times a year or even year after year.
Another idea, do DL and then on to San Diego for a few days. San Diego is fabulous, romantic and excels at dining and culture. Have you considered a cruise? Crusing is a wonderful vacation and good value for your $$$.

I agree with you about DL. Though we go year after year, DL is typically just a small part of a bigger California vacation for us. After we're done with the Disney days, we head out to San Diego to visit friends, hang out at the beaches to boogie board, dine, and shop. We sometimes include Huntington Beach, San Francisco, and Napa Valley into the vacation.

DL is not like WDW, where you can easily spend 7 days on the parks alone and require excess days to just relax/enjoy the WDW resort you are staying at. Also, the dining at WDW is so much more. DL takes only 2-3 days to cover (if you have older kids like we do) and most of us don't spend the money at any DL hotel but on a hotel along the S. Harbor strip. Since you're going for the first time to WDW, you'll find out just how ginormous WDW is, and if you enjoy it, you'll find yourself going back again and again. It is really a different experience than going to DL. ;) Hope you have fun.

I don't find myself craving to go to DL...but I do crave to go to WDW. :lovestruc And tho I've travelled to Asia, Europe, and across N. America, WDW is still my fave place in the world. I can totally relate to TagsMissy's DH wondering when the next trip would be, even tho we just got back!

Haha has anybody ever been the last 2 weeks of Feb?? how are the crowds and the cheerleaders? :scared1:

My lovely hubby spoke to my cousin's hubby last night and they are possibly plotting a trip in February :lmao: and DVC hawaii in 2011. I shall sit back and wait to see what happens. If this trip really DOES occur I know the ball will be tossed to me to complete planning/booking/flight arranging lol
