Disney is going to be CRAZY crowded when we go March 8-11!! I thought we would be early enough in March that we would miss most spring breaks (I even posted a poll about when spring break is several months ago). We were hoping to stay on site but it was $1300 at GC and only $600 at Park Vue when we booked. I have been keeping an eye on GC and today it was $2500!!! I heard that Deaf Awareness Day is the Saturday that we are there but haven't heard about anything else that would make it unusually crowded. What do you think the crowd levels should be like? I heard that there is a website where they rate the crowd levels. Any idea what our dates should be? Thanks for your help!

Touring plans is often embarrassingly wrong with their predictions, but the ones posted should give you some general guidelines. Thursday will be your least crowded day, the weekend looks to be crowded, as most weekends at Disneyland are. I'm hoping it won't really be at the 9 level, though...

We are driving from Northern California on Thursday. Maybe we need to leave REALLY early so we can be in the park for almost half of Thursday since that will be the least crowded day.

I agree about the reliability (i.e. unreliability) of TP for DLR.
Based on the poll setup by skiingfast, there are very few people on spring break from the 4-10th. However, lots for the following week. That could mean your Friday night and Saturday will be busy.

I agree it won't be bad when the OP arrives so get in the bulk of the rides then, and be prepared for it to get busier as the trip moves on.

The first week won't be bad so arrival day may feel quiet. The official hours are out for that week and it's so far suggesting light crowds with the short hours.

The weekend will start the shoulder week of Spring Break Season, which shouldn't be too bad, but in the poll I made all the tallies for the large schools does cause me some concern. In week or two we should see the official hours and if it says 8am-12am be prepared for huge crowds, if only 9am-11pm large crowds.

Poll about March Spring Breaks

We'll be there from the 7th until the the 11th. I'm hoping for small crowds as well.

Oh Man! We're going from the 11th to the 16th!! Sounds like it'll be crowded. I was hoping people would hold off on their DL trips until Carsland opened up. Oh well! We'll just have to plan accordingly!

The 8th's hours are 10-8, so they are expecting low crowds that day. We're arriving the day you leave - the 11th. When I booked our hotel a few months back, I was hoping that because Desert Inn had their lowest rates posted for the nights we'll be there (Sun-Wed) and that because the prices more than doubled the following (Thurs) night, that we might be lucky and catch some lower crowds than the following week. I think I'll have a better idea once they've posted the hours for my dates, though.
