Being Bad Influencers

Erin was kind enough to tip toe around the room and not wake me up but we were in Disney and we had places to go. So while I pulled myself out of bed Erin told me how she ran into Miss Barb and Miss Sue down at the pool. Its turned out that we were all going to the Polynesian later, they had reservations for Ohana and asked if we wanted to join. My bank account couldn’t afford that so we declined but told them that they should join us at Trader Sam’s before their dinner. So we all met down in the lobby and decided to take a boat over to the contemporary and a monorail over to the Poly.

Once arriving at the Contemporary we had to go through bag check with how the new bag check system runs. There the security CM was cracking jokes.
What award did Gaston win? The No Belle prize
What’s Peter Pan’s favorite restaurant? Wendy’s
Why was Tigger looking in the toilet? He was looking for Pooh.
Once getting on the monorail we hit a solid 5-10 minute stand still as we waited for clearance.
But everything was alright because we were going to my favorite place.
The thing about going to Trader Sam’s early is that there is no waiting. There was a table waiting for us and we were ready for some antics to begin.
I come here so much that I have tried all the speciality drinks they have to offer, so my go to one is the krakatoa. If Erin was of age I would have made her get the uh-oa with me because I like to play with the fire. But for now she had to get a drink from the kids menu

So we had 1 zombie, 2 krakatoas and 1 skipper sipper.

During our first round of drinks we were lucky enough to see all the special effects from each drink. Shout out to the group that got the nautilus because that isn’t very popular…thanks to the price.
Apparently I bring newbies here and get them tipsy but overall I think it was a hit (later on in the night Erin and I got a text saying we were bad influencers for bringing them here.) They loved it so much that they decided to get a second drink. Erin and I had to head over to MK to meet up with my sister so I didn’t think a second drink would be in my future since we planned on getting dinner at Captain Cook’s before heading over to the park.
Since Erin wasn’t getting another drink she decided to be the great friend to get our food while I got another drink….but mostly it was she wanted me to get another drink because she wanted me to be a drunk in the kingdom.
So here’s to getting the strongest drink on the menu and chugging it down in a matter of 5 minutes because the service was slow and I had a fastpass that was about to expire. But even chugging the drink didn’t make Erin’s wish come true because I can handle my alcohol.

Miss Barb and Miss Sue were still enjoying their second drink and were shocked that I just chugged mine. We left our money for the bill with them so we could run off to the kingdom.
We were off to the monorail. There I once again heard my name and this time it was Frankie, some may know her as disney_frankie on social media. She’s honestly the nicest human on the planet, she is currently finishing her year program working in the UK pavilion.
I stopped to talk to her for a quick second while we waited in the bag check line. She was also on the way to MK with her boyfriend to watch the new fireworks.
As we waited for the monorail I took this time to eat my dinner, the pulled pork nachos are one of my favorite meals. They honestly look disgusting but I swear they are delicious.

Once we arrived to the kingdom we had to make a mad dash to peco’s to meet up with Alicia and Arielle. We full on sprinted to frontier land and as we dodged through people we saw this lady with no shoes on. Excuse me lady are you aware that you are about to step in poop in your bare feet?

We met Alish and Arielle outside of Peco’s. Arielle is Alicia’s friend that she met while they were both working in Tokyo, who was actually really good friends with Elsa. So I tried offering them some nachos and they both looked at me with disgust because they both just ate a lot at Peco’s. So we all took our full bellied selves over to the wildest ride in the wilderness.
After Thunder we went to the nearest kiosk to try and get more FPs. Alicia got the thunder FPs on her guest passes and had HM ones too but Justin was suppose to meet up with us this night and we wouldn't have enough FPs, so Erin and I went to see what was left. All we could get was Ariel so we decided to go with that.
We walked around frontierland and started talking about halloween and costumes and how I needed to make sure I came down for a halloween party (obviously that was a given because now I have an AP I need to use and Fall is my favorite time in Disney) Alicia and Arielle decided to call it a night and head out, Arielle’s sister was coming to visit tomorrow so she wanted to go home and get ready for her staycation. As we headed out to the front Arielle talked about how not close her and her sister were growing up, that was a totally different situation with Alicia and I.

It was once again just me and Erin and we headed off to the land of tomorrow

Conquering The Mountains

Our main reason to go to tomorrowland was to get a picture of my shirt with CoP, AKA one of my favorite attractions on property!

We found ourselves heading over to frontier land and while over there we met up with nick and decided to jump in line for thunder. It is official, thunder is the hottest line to wait in at MK. This time around I volunteered as tribute to sit by myself because it can be fun whipping in your own cart. Right at the beginning in the black light I made sure to turn around and throw a face a nick. The black light makes a perfect lighting for a creepy face. I have never heard someone scream so loud in my life.

After getting off thunder the fireworks started so we stood right outside the queue to watch them as well as wait for the group of dance peeps that were on thunder right behind us.

With our big group together we all made the dash to splash before the crowds let out of the firework viewing. It was a long muggy half hour wait and I was ready to swim in that florida water. We were all looking a little rough at this moment in time

We had enough “children” to fill up a log with one loner sitting by themselves or squish 3 in a row. So right off the bat everyone was shouting out who they were sitting with. I was ready, Abigail was fine with me sitting on the left (since I love those animatronics) and was fine with sitting by the waterfall. But then the odd number of adults left us with (not the lurker) Mike joining the party log. That changed up everyones ride buddies because his niece refused to sit with him and since we didn’t need to start an argument this early in the night I took another one for the team and had Abigail sit with Amelia. The only catch was I needed that left side, it worked until we got to the log and he soon realized why I wanted the left. Enjoy that waterfall.

After splash we ran into the hold pattern of “what should we do” I find that this question is easily answered when it is just Erin and I, but get in a big group with everyone wanting to do different things and thats where the trouble is.
There was nothing left for us to do in frontier land since I can only drag Erin into country bears. So we all headed to the hub where we took some photos in front of the castle. As we were in line waiting, out of no where there was a proposal, super happy for them. However I personally feel like a proposal in front of the castle is cheesy, over done in a way.But thats just me.

It had become a conquer all the mountains sort of night. So off to tomorrowland where the magic band scanning line was a little frightful but we committed to waiting.

Everyone wanted to see the wait time for mine train and I was oh so thrilled to think about waiting in that line. Thankfully it was just too long for everyones liking so all the children headed for tea cups and the adults headed for HM.

And At Last I See The Light

After spinning our tea cups like crazy we headed across the park over to the mansion. As we were heading that way Erin and Emily broke off to try and find a pooh mug at the pooh gift shop.
Once getting to HM we waited outside for Abigail's mom who was bringing her a bag of clothes for her. The girls were having a sleep over at the lodge so Abby needed her mom to get her clothes from riverside where they were staying and bring them to her.
Once she got her stuff everyone took off for the mansion. I decided to go find Erin and Emily since they were no where to be found. I didn't have any need to do HM so I had them go ahead while I called Erin. I found them and since we had to wait for them to get off HM we decided to get in line for the lantern picture.
By far the best photopass picture ever.

After we got through the line and got our photos the park was closed and everyone was done with HM. We all just hung out in front of Memento Mori. Abigail came up to me in need of a talk so we headed for frontierland, I assumed since the park was closing everyone would be close behind. But after our walk around frontierland no one was around so we headed back. It wasn't long until a CM was pointing us to the front of the park.

While everyone was having fun skipping down a deserted kingdom I was busy at work trying to take some classy photos. However its a real struggle when your client/model/person who wants some new prof pics wont take your pose ideas you give them for in front of the castle. Their loss, could’ve came out super cute.

We soon found where the party was, everyone was being land cleared to Main Street and it was a party!

Before we left the kingdom for the night we got relaxed right at the end of Main Street and took in the Goodnight Kiss.

And then it was a quick run around to get some pictures of the tacky walls up main street.

We finally left the park for the night, we said our goodbyes to Nick because it was his last night in Disney. And then we were all off back to the lodge. I am always so thankful when I see a bus waiting and not driving away without me.
It was a long day and I was ready to jump into bed and call it a night. However Erin decided to invite the sleepover party over to our room where they all hung out until 2am. I mean who needs sleep anyways?! NO SLEEPING IN DISNEY!

Oishii Oishii!!!

Although our room was a party room until 2am that didn't stop us from being up at 7:30 and running off to a park. But I cannot lie this morning was a struggle, Erin put the AC down to a womping 60 degrees and I thought I was going to freeze to death. So while I cried over how cold it was and how sleep deprived I was, I skipped out on club level breakfast and finished my left over school bread that was waiting for me in the fridge.
Then it was off to Epcot for the morning. Once arriving we were greeted by the most cheerful CM I have ever seen. She was just jamming on her microphone singing a bag check song.
First stop...imagination!

Erin's lack of figment in her life makes me so sad. I've been a huge fan since I was little and although it has gone through a dream finder change (which too this day my parents talk about how great it use to be) I was to young to remember the old version, but figment is figment and imagination is a blast!

After figment we had time to kill before our living with the land. So for laughs and giggles we decided to check the wait time for soarin. It must have been our lucky day because it was only a 20 minute wait, I was honestly thinking it would be at least an hour wait at 10am. However I will not complain.

A short wait for soarin and we still had to wait for our fps. So we hung out on a bench right in front of living with the land and once that 5 minute early grace period hit we jumped in that line. Let's listen to the land we all love.

It was getting closer to the hottest part of the day so why not make the decision to walk the showcase?! It may be a poor choice but we did it. But first photopass photos.

The real question was did we really need to walk the showcase? Nah. A boat was waiting and decided to take a ride across the lagoon to Morocco.

Our main reason for coming to this side of the park? Food. It's always for food. I was in need of the Japan quick service and Erin was just wanting your classic nuggs.

So I went to Japan to get my fix.
SOS I am in need of a trip back to the real Japan! I need some Disney Sea back in my life.

As I waited I was in a panic of what I wanted a nice hot bowl of ramen or some udon noodles. But once I got up to the counter I decided with the ramen because who doesn’t want to eat a hot bowl of soup in a hundred degree weather?! And as I went to get my food, I threw out the “Artigato” and the CM was super excited that I just didn’t give the plain old “Thank you”. When in Japan!
The ramen was a great choice even if it was hot out. Oishii! (delicious!)

I'm On Top Of The World

So as I casually ate in Japan by myself, Erin was over in America doing the same thing. Once I was done I headed over to the grand ole USA and found Erin chowing down.

When we were done with eating we hopped right back on a boat back to future world. We had no time for that showcase heat today.

Our last thing to accomplish today was test track. And even with a fastpass it was the longest wait ever!

After test track we planned to leave but when your with me I tend to do a million other things when I say "let's leave!" So off to mouse gears, where the mixture of the heat and the lack of sleep was getting to me and I was in a daze walking around that store. I ended up loosing Erin but that's typical when we enter a gift shop. So I randomly found a spot to sit on the floor and waited for her to find me.
Once she found me we headed over to Starbucks to get some hydration before making the trek to the bus stop.

Once we got back to the lodge, we headed to old faithful to grab our regular bowl of pita chips to munch on and then I was ready to jump back into bed. I was out once hitting the pillow. While I took my nap Erin headed down to the pool again.

It was a solid hour nap before waking up and having to get ready for dinner. Tonight we were eating at a place that has been on the top of my list for the longest time, California Grill. My parents never wanted to eat here because they liked the original restaurant, On Top Of The World. Its always something they talk about and how they had a show up there where they sang Broadway tunes. Unfortunately that closed in 1993, so we now have California Grill so in their mind its not cool.
Now originally we had reservations for this the next night right before fireworks but a week before we came down Alicia texted me to come to fantasmic that night so I had to do some quick rearranging and was able to get a reservation tonight, not for fireworks but after looking into it we could still go back to watch fireworks.
Luck wasn't with us tonight because the rain had started and it wasn't looking like it was going to stop anytime soon. With thanks to the storm the boats right to the contemporary from WL were down so we had to take a bus to MK and run in the rain to the monorail to get to the contemp. Real struggles, we can try to put ourselves together and look nice but florida weather wasn’t having it. Ready or not we had to run through the rain.
The rain turned into a light drizzle so it wasn’t awful and we got to our final destination not looking like drowned rats, so I guess thats a win. When we got to the contemporary we checked in and waited to get our text message telling us our table was ready, that was received right away and we were escorted into the elevator and up to the tip top club we go. If only it was the tip top club.
We were seated in the back room so there was no cool castle view. It was kind of sad but we got a front row seat for the lightning show that was rolling in.

Down For The Count At The Contemporary

Like any good meal the first thing that comes out is some bread. A bread basket is something Erin and I can tackle with in minutes if you let us. Then once that basket is gone Erin will demolish another one. So, so far California Grill was a win in our books

Then it was onto the expensive entrees. Erin went with the 16 oz Ribeye and I went with the Oak-fired Filet of Beef.

After a delicious meal and being stuffed, our waitress made sure to bring over the dessert menu. I had no intentions of getting anything but the beignets were calling me. It took a while for her to come back and at that time I decided to pass because I couldn’t see spending the money and not finishing it. However tonight was our big go all out dinner so Erin went with the chocolate cake. Honestly once this came out I think I witnessed love at first bite.

Our overall experience at California Grill was a hit. Erin scores it a 100 out of 10. Highly recommend!

After dinner we had a lot of time to kill before we had to head back to watch the fireworks. Our original plan was to resort hop around the monorail but the rain canceled that out. Then my sister asked me what we were up to because she got pulled to hang out with a royal from Avalor, and I was so ready to book it to the kingdom however dinner took to long so we missed out. So instead we hung out at the contemporary, browsed the gift shop and took some photos.

After browsing the gift shops and doing my best trying to not let Erin buy the whole store. We headed back to California Grill check in level and made ourselves comfy. One of us got more comfy than the other and passed out for a solid hour. I’m all about a good nap so I let her do her thing while I just hung out. During this time I watched Captain hook, Smee, and their crew of pirates and pals pass by as they got ready for their voyage on the high seas of bay lake.

At 8:30 we headed back to the podium to show our receipt and headed back up to the viewing deck.

Then at 9 we watched the 3rd viewing of Happily Ever After and honestly I fall in love with it the more times I see it.

Once the fireworks were over we followed the rest of the firework viewing crowd and waited for an elevator. We smushed into an elevator which was filled with all girls but also one guy. He randomly stated “Ladies I’m taken” it was one of those awkward moments because no one laugh or said a word. So after our awkward elevator ride down we headed out to the boat dock and grabbed a boat back to WL. As we were waiting I didn’t even realize that Peter Pan passed by until Erin told me. So we had to wait for the whole pirate party to unload before we could get on our boat.

Once arriving back at WL we grabbed some snacks and headed for the pool.
Tonight was an eventful night by the pool because out of no where whistles were blown and a CM jumped into the pool. Everyone stopped what they were doing since we are all nosy people, but joke was on us because it was just a drill. Erin flipped because she said she would quit right on the spot. Poor girl had to jump in with all her clothes with like 10 minutes left of her shift. Hope she had extra clothes so she didn’t have to take the bus back to CP housing soaked.
At 11 the pool closed and we headed back to the room. At this time we got word that the adults were taking a trip to Trader Sam’s so Erin invited Emily and Amelia up to our room. It was a solid girls night of airplane rides, boy talk/advise, Erin showing off her not so well disney character knowledge, and Amelia finding it weird that I was snapping her mother all night.

The adults weren’t out to late and they all come to the CL gate. So we walked Amelia and Emily out to them and then walked over to the DVC building. It was all going good, until we got too “loud” for Mikes liking. It all went weird after that, he didn’t want to be associated with us noisy people so he walked ahead of us, Krista and Amelia couldn’t get into their room, and Erin and I peaced out because I didn’t have time for that. But don’t worry he only had water at trader sam’s so he wasn’t drunk…apparently he just needed to sleep.

A Morning Of New Experiences

We may have hit day 8, which probably means sleep in for a bit since your have been going early each morning. But there's no sleeping in Disney!!!! So here's to a lovely 7am wake up call and another great morning at breakfast because it's HAM DAY!

Today the kingdom had magic hours in the morning so we headed off to that magical place. Just our luck the busses took forever, so by the time we actually got to the park space mountain said it was a 55 minute wait. And why we decided to wait who knows? But it turned into a short 15 minute wait so I wasn't mad at all.

After space mountain we walked around tomorrowland for a bit until we decided to go on Astro orbiter. I could say it's been a while since I've been on it, the last 24 hour event to be exact. However this was Erin's first time on it. And like always the line was forever long and I never understand why.

After flying high above the kingdom it was time to go mining with the seven dwarves. Back row here we come!

This morning was do things Erin has never done.. So it was of to the circus to go hang out with goofy on the barnstormer. Luckily there was no line because it's like a five second ride, and I made sure to let Erin know that so she wasn't too disappointed in the ride.

Since we were near fantasyland we decided to go under the sea since we made a fp for it the other night and never went on it.

We had some time before it was officially lunch time at any quick services. And our go to meal at mk when we are together is Pinocchio's. since we had some time to kill it was photos by the castle arch ways and then to philharmagic.

My obsession with the beauty and the beast scent is a serious problem. If I could bottle that up I would.
Even with stalling and watching a show we were still 20 minutes early before they started serving lunch. We were the first people inside of Pinocchio's and I have never seen it dead before. This was great for us because we got first pick of the popular tables over looking it's a small world…So while Erin slept, I waved to guests that passed by down below. The only downfall was that they had to AC cranked, so bad that we had to pull out our rain coats because we were freezing to death.

Once it hit 11 I was the first one up there ordering, I left Erin sleeping at the table since I've become very good at knowing what she would want to eat....since it always comes down to nuggets for us.

The Beary Best Afternoon!

After lunch at Pinocchio's is was off to tackle the wildest ride in the wilderness! As we made our way over I stopped in my tracks because I saw a familiar face wondering around the streets of frontierland. Big Al was just chillin in the sun on this hot and sweaty 100 degree day. The fact that these bears roam around now are both terrifying and amazing. But side note the poor character attendant will be shouting "they are just wandering around, please do not make a line" more times then you can count. However you best believe I was gonna meet my favorite country bear.
Get yourself a friend that is ready to capture the special 2 second meet because that's literally all the time you get.

As we headed further down, there was liver lips and I was just in country bear heaven.
She’s my woman, through and through. I lover her only ’cause my heart is true.

The high from the bears came crashing down once we learned that thunder was down. That's when we saw a girl go up to a CM practically yelling at them saying "it was down the last time she came and today is their last day here" spiel, which honestly I don't know what she expects to get from a broken down ride. CM standing outside have no clue what happened inside the ride or why it's down, they won't know when it will be back up, it could be 5 minutes it could be down half the day. So with that I didn't really want to walk the whole park again since we had splash fp soon. So onto another new attraction for Erin, one that screamed my childhood because it was relaxing and my brother was obsessed with trains growing up.

Although the train isn't on everyone's list of must dos I love going around the loop, it's relaxing, you don't have to walk the whole park, it's great. As we were on ride around the kingdom I got a message from abigail asking if we were at mk because her and her family were. Turns out they also lost there fp for thunder because it was down and we planned on meeting up to ride it together. On the way back to the frontierland station the Poca dream team group chat started for later tonight's viewing of fantasmic. And all I can say is bless all these CMs with their guest passes so we can get all the fantasmic fastpasses.
By the time we circled the kingdom thunder was back up and running.. We waited in the shade near splash for abigail and her mother. They missed out on one of their fastpasses because of breakfast lasting longer than planned so they had a fp for anything. So first up splash mountain!

Then it was onto the next mountain!

The prize for conquering the wildest ride were mickey bars. Abby’s mom was unimpressed with every mickey bar she received on this trip because the chocolate was always cracked…making it not very picture worthy

With expensive mickey shaped ice cream in hand we headed to the castle. It was Abigail's last day in Disney and she wanted a picture in front of the castle before we parted ways.

They had to hurry and get to their Space mountain fp before it expired. So we said our goodbyes and parted ways. As they ran off to tomorrowland, Erin and I headed down Main Street with a quick stop to Starbs before we headed back to the resort.
Then it was goodbye Magic Kingdom….

And hello golden oak!

But honestly seeing people just get into that shuttle made me jealous. Excuse me but could you possibly adopt me?!

What a fun day! Of all the characters that could be just wandering around in the heat they choose the ones wearing fur. I really don't see how those cast members stand it in the summer. They need the air conditioning for sure. For you though, how fun was that just walking up to Big Al? I remember once in EPCOT they had some characters in training that we stumbled upon. It was such a nice surprise.

Yes! I'm heading back in January, we loved going in January last year so we are doing it again this year.

A Picture Perfect Night

A break from the parks to swim for a bit is always the best idea. Once arriving at the pool the games had just started. I'm a personal fan of the trivia but unfortunately this was not happening today. So instead we jammed to the good playlist they had on while we watched the water balloon contest. It was only a quick trip to the pool because we had dinner reservations to get to at studios. So we headed back up to the room, got ready fast and although we had dinner soon it didn’t stop Erin from running to old faithful to get her apples and peanut butter.

It was a cloudy day at hollywood studios. We had some time to kill before we had to head over to Mama Melrose.

We followed this girl with an interesting choice of footwear for a day at a disney park. I hope her feet weren’t hurting after walking around all day.

Welcome to Hollywood studios, a place that use to have so much going for it but now when we had to waste some time there was nothing to do….

With every attraction having to long of a wait, it was off to something new to experience.
It was time to watch some little Jedi’s in training

After the Jedi’s saved the galaxy it was time to eat…until we had to wait for Brittany to arrive. She planned to come watch Fantasmic tonight and wanted to join us for dinner when she heard that we were eating at Mama Melrose. She rushed from work which ended at 4 and ran through studios to get to dinner at 5.

Once she arrived it was time for a meal I have been waiting for for a while.
First up for a bread basket which was of course gone in minutes.
I went with the Shrimp Campanelle minus the shrimp because I am not a seafood person. It was great like I remembered it being, and Brittany was kind enough to finish it for me and regret the pasta she got.

Overall Mama Melrose was fantastic!
After dinner I wanted to see Pixar live and we only had one show left for the day to make it too. And even though we just ate both Erin and Brittany needed some dessert so we headed to Sweet Spells on our way to the theater.
We got to Pixar a few minutes before it started so it was a bit filled up but there were still a lot of seats open on the sides near the front.

Once it started Justin texted me saying he just arrived at studios and asked where we were. So he met us at Pixar live, which was also his first time seeing it.

I personally loved this! The Up section hit Brittany with all the emotions. The Toy Story Sing a long was my favorite part.
At the end of the show we decided to go to ToT because Erin doesn’t ride it and she said this would be my chance to go on with people instead of going by myself like I normally do whenever I’m at studios with Erin. On our way out someone noticed Justin. SLOAN! She use to be a character attendant in Agrabah, flashback to the 24 hour event when she knew who I was but I didn’t know who she was. Once the crowd left the theater, the wait for ToT was a joke so we opted for RnR

We were the last ones pushed into the pre show room which left all the room in the back for some dancing. “Justin this is your time to shine” He complained all trip about how I never made a Paris trip video and refused to be lied to again about another video to dance for. After not much convincing he busted some moves in the recording studio.

Still dreaming of Golden Oaks!
Yes! I'm heading back in January, we loved going in January last year so we are doing it again this year.

I'm going in January too with a bunch of friends!! Went last year for the first time in January and we loved it...the low crowds and weather were awesome. Hopefully we'll have the same luck this time. My family just decided over the weekend they want to go back so we booked for end of April into May. We will have my 3 year old niece, who's only been once before when she was about 6 months old.

So since I'll have 2 trips in like 5 months, I'm planning on purchasing an AP. Honestly, never thought this would be happening lol but I'm so excited! Do you find that you save a lot on food/merchandise with the AP discounts?
