Uh... Don't do that! (fashion)

Okay, I had to stop reading after she told me I couldn't wear Mickey. HELLO???? This woman clearly does not know what she is talking about!

Who has a picture of the sweater that we accuse luvmydogs of wearing??? They need to post it here! :teeth:

I wore white platform tennies under my wedding gown. Oh the horror!!! But dang, my feet weren't killing me at the end of the day!

I have to take offense at the Mickey Mouse comment.

By darnit, if I want to wear the Mouse, then I WILL, and I don't give a you-know-what if you think I'm out of style!

OK, I'm not really guilty of any of those. But they didn't say anything about wearing flannel jammies outside the house, which I am guilty of in the winter...

Geez, today I went out in my black CAPRI pants and my DISNEY t-shirt. It wasn't Mickey, it was Grumpy, is that better?

I also refuse to wear heels. I'm 5'11". I have no desire to be the 6'1" Amazon Woman stumbling down the street and, subsequently, the 6'1" Amazon Woman on crutches because I know I'll fall and break something.

I always wear my sneakers. I need to be able to run if: A. Someone chases me. I work in Boston....you need to be quick on your feet.; B. The fire alarm goes off. Sometimes, I'm on the 20th floor. I'm not walking down those stairs in anything but sneakers.; and C. Nobody lets me cross the street and I need to make a mad dash. :thumbsup2

Wow, for once in my life, I'm not guilty of any of those! Well, except the over-plucked eyebrows - I think my girl went a bit too thin at my last waxing. I've been watching "What Not To Wear" and picking up tips. Last week, I bought a cute pair of sneakers and finally broke that last "no-no" - my sneakers for walking/exercising/everything were big and white. I got a pair of Keds with a cute floral pattern - perfect for going to the store, etc. I want a pair of red Keds for the winter. :)

Ok, I'm the first to admit my shame. I have the stacked doggie sweaters! And I wear them. I have 2 Scotties and therefore collect anything and everything Scottie Dog. I have about 20 designer label sweaters with Scotties--and these are the most expensive items in my wardrobe! Too funny.

I gave up the fanny pack in 1995 after I saw my honeymoon photos! They are correct; the fanny pack is heinous.

I do have a few other items on the list, but we all know they are not correct about our Disney-themed apparel.

Maybe I should write to her and tell her Mickey people WILL wear Mickey!

Disney clothing, big blouses, chunky sweaters and gym shoes. I'm comfortable, get over it.

Guilty as charged on the midriff tops. But I'm a 20-something model with great abs...do I get to slide on that one? Other than that, I think I'm okay, though they would probably have issues with my black and white Converse high tops that I wear everywhere, and maybe the eyebrow ring as well. :confused3

OMG, I'm guilty on the jumper. I actually saw the picture and thought, uh-oh. Also, on the pleated, bunchy shorts.

I am going shopping tomorrow!!!!

That whole thing was hilarious! I only own one pair of chunkier shoes that I wear with jeans... and since they are flared legs that hover just over teh floor you can't tell. I won't give them up because of the pure height of them ;)

Otherwise I have to agree with most of what they say. I do have a WDW jacket, but it's a windbreaker... and I mostly only wear it at WDW anyway :teeth:

I like my lacy bras under my shirts, and I will keep on wearing them. If it would be so wrong to wear them, all those expensive lingerie brands wouldn't make them!!!

I think that if you lived in a hot climate, you would understand the plain-nude-bra thing. :goodvibes I live in Florida and wear lightweight clothes most of the year, and I am always looking for the smoothest, beige-est underwire bras that will not show through my little knit tops!

The rules I break--I use a fanny pack at Disney (I swear! Only at Disney! :bitelip: OK, at an occasional yardsale, too!). I'm also guilty of the clunky sneakers, but only for athletic wear--I don't wear them around in public except when I'm working out. princess:

Okay, I'm confused.. You're a model who does animal rescue and happens to have a degree in child psych? (Per profile and other threads.) I'm honestly curious how all that works out.

Anyhoo.. I've been guilty of most of those fashion crimes at one point or another. :guilty: :cool1:

Yes, actually. I got started in local theatre when I was about 5. Got my AA degree in Theatre in 1992. Started an acting/modeling career, which included working for Disney and Universal. Got married in 1996, things were going okay but not great with the acting/modeling, decided I better settle down and find a "real career," so I went back to school for the degree in child psych. Worked in that field for awhile, but when the marriage deteriorated, and I decided to move to New Orleans, I realized the degree and career change were more for hubby than for myself. Went back to the acting/modeling, also doing a lot of stagecraft and technical theatre. Got married again a few years later, new hubby and I both love animals, and got involved with some animal rescue organizations on a volunteer basis. Additionally, he had a construction background and I had the stagecraft experience, so we decided to start our own business doing faux finishing, which ended up expanding into a more generalized remodeling company. Came back to Orlando area for my mom's funeral, ended up stuck here cause of Katrina. Marriage failed, I sold hubby my share of the company, he's running it in Orlando now. Meanwhile, I went back to the acting and modeling career. Currently working for Universal and modeling for AntiBabe Inc. Still doing animal rescue stuff on the side, moving back to New Orleans in a little over a week, going to work there for an exotic animal rescue, plus volunteer with Animal Rescue New Orleans, as well as acting as a consultant on a post-Katrina home redo, and auditioning for a burlesque show. Guess you could say I wear a lot of hats...but in a nutshell, yes everything I've said is true.

Wow - how young were you when you got your Associates in 1992? 15? That's the only way you could be a 20-something. Unless you just feel that young still... I wish I was 20-something still myself...

I do wear regular gym shoes for walking and theme parks, and I wear white bras. Oh, and I wear capris - but not super-tapered, but not "gaucho-like" either. Otherwise, I'm good to go.

I'm guilty of sneakers and capris. I have also been a victim of the bust line fiasco. Sucks when most clothes aren't made to properly fit my girls.
