I just want to say how much I really enjoy these boards and how nice everyone is. I just did a dumb thing I guess and was looking around over on that other wedding site looking for a few ideas, and read a thread where these girls were just completely trashing a girl who mentioned something about having her Disney themed wedding. Just makes me so angry, why people have to be some mean because someone is having the wedding that they have always dreamed about? A wedding is supposed to be the happiest day of your life and show your personality and make YOU feel good. ugh. Another reason I love it here.

Having YOUR wedding YOUR way is the most important thing, believe me. I've been married almost 19 years now and my MIL had much different ideas for our reception than I did (North vs. South) and I stood my ground for the things that mattered most to me. The only thing I didn't get was a cape to go over my dress (we married in December in Atlanta). There wasn't enough material after making the bridesmaid's dresses and there wasn't enough time to get one made. I'm trying to talk DH into a Vow Renewal 12/08 at WDW for our 20th and I'll betcha I'll have my cape.

Anyway, don't stress. Be thrilled about your wedding...and don't worry.

I've experienced this on many other boards, not just on wedding boards either and I agree- It's ridiculous!!! Why people have to put down on others so they can feel better about themselves is just beyond me.
