I was trying (and I stress TRYING) to report a player that was harrassing me, and while trying to type what happened in the report, it won't accept half of what I typed. Words like 'to' and 'and' were not acceptable. Also, it lit up all of my periods. I got so frustrated I almost didn't bother.
This player was in a trade room (guest#####) and I was in there looking for yellow shoe chairs. They said hey had 2 to trade, so I tried to trade. I showed what I have to offer and they hit accept and said thanks. They didn't put the shoes in, so I did not hit accept. They then started begging for my stuff saying they were broke and couldn't afford anything. I said no, sorry. They then proceeded to hit trade with me about 15 times and begging for my stuff and I finally put them on ignore.
What burns me is I couldn't even report what happened properly and all I could say was the user was trying to trade over and over and not taking no for an answer.
This person is obviously hoping someone will be unsuspecting and hit accept and they get stuff for free.

Edited to add....I just got a msg from VMK staff telling me they can't do anything about it and just use my ignore button.

I have been reading this over a VMK fansite the CM just do not want to bother with this people trying to steal items, very sad. :sad2:

I know what you mean about the reporting I usually just give it!

Ignore has become my new best friend. I had the same problem with some person harassing me. I went to report it but could not put down half of what the person was doing ten minutes later i get a pop up message telling me to use my ignore button. Yeah easy enough but if that is going to be their answer to everything then why bother with having a report option in the first place.
 
I get the sense that maybe Disney VMK underestimated the number of:

- people who would play VMK
- mean and nasty people who would show up
- VMK staff they would need

It feels like there's been a real big change it what the VMK staff has had the time to deal with / respond to from the days when 300-500 players was "a lot" during the early beta phase, and now, when there are often 1300-1500 people on.

Maybe they will increase staffing.

I do not think they are going to increase staff for a while. :( not till there is more players. I asked, because I too think they need more VMK's around. I think at least too (oops, two) online and then one or two working behind the scenes. I voiced my oppinion, not that it maters much. I know that they are often loaded down with messages from people. One day a VMK said that she had at least 6 messages in her mailbox at all times. I can not imagine how tough their job has to be. I walked in on a problem one night in Snow White's Forest, it was nasty and the VMK booted the player.
 
I've experienced the same problems - stolen items, harasment, reporting incidents with no real solution. Ignore works, saying no trades doesn't, I now ask if I can think about it and contact them later. So far so good on that one, but I 'll never know if that person was serious about a trade. It has forced me to leave the game and return at a later time. What else can we do?
