Ugh - So Frustrating

So I went to upgrade to the GF Sugarloaf from the BC Club Level for our trip that starts this Saturday. I saw that Sugarloaf was available online with my passholder discount before I called.

When I called the reservationist found the room category, told me what the difference was which matched the amount I had gotten online, but by the time she went to process/finalize the reservation the room had disappeared.

She put me on hold to see what had happened and apparently someone else upgraded at the EXACT same time as she was trying to upgrade me and their reservation clicked through seconds before mine did. So basically I was out of luck. She was so apologetic but explained that basically there wasn't anything she could do other than to suggest that I keep watching for more availability.

I had been debating about switching for days and finally decided to do it and now that I can't get it I feel really disappointed. I had gotten myself all excited about the switch.

Oh well life will go on and I'm sure we will still have a fabulous time but I needed to vent.

So this gets even better -- the room now appears to be available again within 20 minutes of me getting off the phone with reservations.

Here I go again.

I swear it is their goofy system acting up and not a change in the actual availability. <sigh>

You should just make it online and then call to get everything arranged.

I got it!

So completely bizarre. The second agent also thought that it was a temporary computer glitch rather than a quick change in availability. What is so bizarre is that this time there were multiple rooms available. After mine was completely booked there still were more available with the passholder rate.

Glad it worked out! I have been calling daily to see if a 1-BR at BLT opens up for next weekend. We have a LV studio booked, but would like the added space from a 1 BR. I'll keep trying!

I'm so glad you were able to get the room you wanted I waited to long last time and ended up at WL, which was great, but I REALLY wanted GF. Please give us pics & a review when you get back, I am staying SL GF in May and would love to hear your thoughts.

Actually I stayed in GF SL this past May with my husband and younger kids for 10 days. We absolutely LOVED it! Even though I love the BC too, I was really longing to go back to the GF on this trip. If you have any questions about SL I'll be more than willing to answer them for you.

Great!! If I think of anything I will definitely ask. I just emailed them about planning a fireworks cruise and they are checking dates for me. So far they have been very helpful!
