Ok folks help me please beofre I sabotage myself. I have been off plan now for 2 weeks. It all started on Mon 15th when I went to see LOTR the two towers on the big screen again. I LOVE movie theater popcorn, so I let myself "off". Then I knew I was going right back 2 days later to see Return of the King. I figured it would be dumb to get on induction for one day, only to get right off again KWIM. So then I was good Thurs and Frid. But all I get every where I turn is " Its the holiday season" " Sometimes you have to" etc etc etc. OKOK I bought into this LOL SO after 2 weeks of non atkins and I only excersiced once last week argh.........I am feeling mighty guilty. So tommorrow is back on track for me, but I need encouragement. AM I the only who fell off the "holiday" wagon?

Get back on plan ASAP! That's my advice. Whatever plan you are on the BEST thing you can do for yourself is get back on as soon as you can. Don't wait till January 1st, don't wait till the next party, etc. You enjoyed yourself for 2 weeks and maybe it was a break your body needed (and enjoyed I'm sure :teeth: ) but now's the time to get back on plan to ensure that you continue your success. You have come a long way and you don't want to undo all your hard work. I also went off plan the week of Christmas gained 5.2 lbs :scared: Went right back on plan Friday and am happy to say that I am now right back where I started before Christmas. So that would be my suggestion, get back on induction and don't let anything get in your way. When January 1 comes you'll have a few days of Induction under your belt and be well on your way to success in 2004! Don't beat yourself up about going off plan, I'm sure there are many of us who REALLY enjoyed ourselves this holiday season. :teeth: Just get right back on plan and don't let a slip up turn in to the end of your healthy eating! :goodvibes:

I went off plan also, and gained a couple of pounds, but kayeandjim00 is right, get back in your good habits, and let the past go. (That said, I am going off plan again for New Year's Eve, but will be back on after that. ) Don't feel guilty, remember, this is a journey not a race!

Ohhh I like that way of thinking ALOT!
This is a journey not a RACE! I did keep on with my water and diet drinks so I guess I could have done worse, right? I have come to far to go back now!

I have certainly been suffering your plight. I try to mostly make "wise" choices; however, I have failed too many times these days. All I can say is I keep getting back up, dusting myself off and trying to get back in there.

I like that, and it is so true!!

I too have been allowing myself to be off to an extent. I have given myself permission to do so until after the holidays. Well actually after Jan. 3rd (my birthday), once NYE and my birthday pass I will hop back on the bandwagon. I have to say though that even though I have been indulging my new eating habits are helping me out because I don't gorge myself anymore, I eat the temptation foods in moderation, which never would have happened before WISH. Good for you for hopping back on program!

Lord of the Rings did me in too! Found myself with movie popcorn and later in the movie some snowcaps:(

Can't blame the movie as much as other stress (most job related) in my life. Made some bad choices and I'm up 1.5 lbs.

Today is a new day, a new week and I'm back on plan!

It is a journey and every journey has some detours. The important thing is not to get lost on the journey. Just by posting you proven you haven't gotten lost.

I've been indulging too much also. However, I keep hanging in there and practicing the other good habits that I've learned. I'm not in "all or nothing" mode. I have been drinking lots of water and getting my exercise in. I eat at least 2 meals a day on plan.

My downfall has been all the junk food in the kitchen. I have encouraged the kids to eat it up before I throw it away! :teeth:

But I'm here for another day and I'm not giving up. I'm working on progress, not perfection - making each day better than the day before - not perfect, but better.

Here we go! Back to business!! ::yes::

I too fell into the "holiday" trap. I agree that the best thing that we can all do to keep from ending our "new healthy lifestyles" is getting back on track as quickly as possilbe.

It feels so good to be back on track. I can't wait till next Monday when I have a loss at WI instead of a gain. It's amazing how you feel once you see a loss. It really makes staying on track easy.

You can do it!

Melanie

I'll bet lots of us have indulged more than we should have over the holidays. I know I did. :teeth: There are just so many temptations this time of year.

The important thing is to pick yourself up and get right back on track!! It sounds like you are really ready to do that! And I'll bet you'll find you feel so much better when you get back OP and start exercising again!!

We're all behind you!!
