Ugh! My car was hit while parked!

Doesn't anyone leave a note these days?!

So I noticed today that the front of my car has a huge scrape across it, from the front of the bumper to the front tire. A big white smear. I'm getting so frustrated. I made another post about me quitting my job and thank goodness because I don't know how much more damage my car can sustain in the parking lot at my work! Over thanksgiving someone tried to break into my car while I was at work. They gouged out the entire keyhole with what I'm assuming was a screwdriver. Even the plastic around it was dug out. They didn't actually get into the car, I think someone must have spotted them and they took off. I started parking a lot closer to the entrance of my work since that happened, as I often work late nights and am worried about someone getting into my car (and heaven forbid being in there when I get in!). I can now see my car from the front windows at work, however I obviously can't keep a close eye on it as I am working.

I'm just so frustrated. It's bad enough I have to pay to get that keyhole fixed, now i'm going to have to get this fixed too. And I didn't do anything to cause these things.

Ugh I'm sorry I just needed to vent!

Same sort of thing happened to me. The jerk who's parking spot is beside me scratched my car. His car is red and there was a trace of red paint on my car. Also, his car had a scratch exactly in a spot consistent with hitting my car. Well I didn't say anything because I couldn't prove it. But Karma is a great thing because a few weeks later his car was pretty banged up in the front.

Don't underestimate the power of Karma

Frustrating, isn't it?! My son's car was rammed really big time while parked in front of our house! And we had only lived here for about 6 weeks when it happened. Of course, no note was left and no one saw anything in the middle of the night!

Ours was hit in front of our house 3 days before Christmas with no note. My husband was determined to find out who did it, and by looking at the type of damage and some other factors determined that it was a delivery truck. It took us 3 weeks but he finally got that company to admit that their driver did it. Now the driver will be in big trouble for hit and run.

I had my car get hit once by another car and noone was driving it. Dummy parked on a hill with a stick shift and didn't put the break on. DUH!! I met the driver (I was working and they paged the owner of ..... 3x before I realized it was my car). Why he went through all the trouble of finding me and then doing nothing to pay for the damage I'll never know. My parents opted to not mess with the insurance.

Funny part--the guy was telling me I shouldn't be so upset since his damage was worse. Ummm---it was you that caused it, buddy!

our car just hit in front of our house of course with no note..

the rear bumper needs to be replaced--there was actually a piece of the headlight stuck in the bumper!!!!

it will cost $575 to fix--we have a $500 dedcutiable to we have to pay for the whole thing!!

we think it may have been an American cab since there always picking up or dropping someone off just 3 houses from us and there cars are red and theres alittle red paint on our bumper but so far I havent seen any with highlite damage.
