Okay, I should have looked sooner but I am swamped for time and didn't. We leave two weeks from tomorrow. Our reservation is a little bit complicated, I guess, in that I have two rooms, people coming from 2 different destinations, and then I am switching to a different resort and staying longer than everyone else. I looked at our ME stuff tonight, it came last week. I found that one room and all the people in it is perfect. For the other room, I have 1 set of luggage tags for two people, and no ME vouchers for our inbound flight. Outbound we are fine, I guess, because I have a voucher to come home on the correct date and my sis has a voucher home on the correct date, though it has my name on it. So problem 1 is that neither of us has a voucher from the airport to the Beach Club.

Issue 2 (not Disneys fault): I am staying at the BC for 5 nights with family. Then I am moving to the CBR for three nights. My family is leaving after the 5 nights. A friend is flying in on night 4 to stay at BC one night with us, then the rest are leaving and the friend and I are moving to CBR. I have not added her to the reservation yet, and will do so on check in. Therefore, she will not have a voucher or luggage tag. Can she still ride ME? Will she still be able to use the ME luggage service and check her bag without the tag, or should she pick it up at the airport and bring it on the ME bus (provided she can ride the ME bus without a voucher...). Thanks for your help; I would call disney but that takes minimum of a half hour. Which I don't have.

1. Don't Panic

2. Contact Disney's Magical Express Guest Services at (866) 599-0951.

Make sure that you correct the number of guest arrivals and dates in the DME database. Even though your guests may not have a DME voucher, if they are in the database (and know the reservation number), they should be given a ride to the resort.

Guests who have not tagged their luggage with the yellow DME tags prior to check-in at their home airport will have to claim their bags from the carousel and take it on the resort bus.

ETA - Make sure everyone who needs DME transportation is added to the respective resorts reservations. I don't think doing it at time of check-in is sufficient.

.
This is optional before 10 PM.
After 10 PM this is mandatory for everyone, yellow tags or not.

When calling, ask for and write down the name and city of the person you talk to. Also ask for a confirmation to be sent to you.

If you don't have actual "vouchers", some will be printed for you at the Magical Express welcoming area. This sometimes happens for those guests who booked their whole trip on such short notice that there wasn't time to mail out the materials.

Irregularities or needed changes in the homebound DME reservations are better left until after you get there. Less of a chance of messing something else up.

As long as the flight arrives before 10 p.m., guests without the yellow tags DON'T need to take their own bags to the bus. Even without the special tags, they CAN have DME transport their bags just like everyone else.

Upon arrival at MCO, go directly to the DME counter and check-in there; skip baggage claim. At the DME counter, they will ask for your baggage claim ticket numbers as well as a physical description of each bag. They'll then dispatch a cast member to go to the baggage claim carousel and grab your bags for you. Your bags will be taken back behind the scenes and the CM will print up a DME tag for each bag (these tags will be white rather than the usual yellow). These bags will then be put into the mix with all the rest of the other "traditional" DME bags on their way to be scanned, sorted and delivered.

I would give the friend who is arriving to stay with you, your room reservation number for the room the two of you will be sharing. That way it will be easier for the CM at the DME desk to locate the reservation.

For issue 2, if she is not listed on the reservation, would they really give access to DME, even if she knows the reservation number? They ask for so much ID these days, I wouldn't be counting on DME access.

Not possible, if she in not listed on the reservation yet. Does not matter if she has a reservation number, she is not listed on the ressie, then she is not considered a guest at the resort.

Call DME and find out exactly what they have in their system. Make sure they have each person, in each one of those two rooms, listed in the system. If they don't, then they can make the corrections. And they still have time to get DME tags and vouchers out to you. If you are in the system and you don't get the packet in time, just go to the DME counter upon arrival. They will take your baggage info and send someone to get it (between 5am and 10pm). then they will print out vouchers for you to ride the bus.
That room that has a set of DME tags but no vouchers? There should be one tag for each person in the room. Did two tags arrive (sounds like that may be since you said 'set of tags'). What was in the packet for that room? I have usually received a packet for each reservation.

Then, as far as your late arriving friend goes...is there a reason you can't add her to the room reservation now? If you feel more comfortable adding her later, just make sure she has your reservation number with her...that way it will be easy for them to look it up in the system. But be sure your friend is listed before she gets there...otherwise she is going to be spending $20 to use Mears to get to the resort!!

It is possible. If you reread the orginal post, she stated she will be adding the friend, to her reservation when she, (the CDRN1) arrives at the resort not when the friend arrives at WDW. So by the time the friend arrives at the airport she will have already been added to the reservation. The reservation number will not change so she can use the reservation number as a reference to the room reservation which will now have CDRN1 and her friends name listed on it.
