called to make my readies for Jan. And CM gave me so many different info than what I have always been able to use.

1) first she kept saying that I could not book a hearing room if I was not deaf, excuse me does ADA state they can not ask about disability. I have always booked, first a w/c with a tub, or a hearing assist room. Why, because they do not for some unknown reason have rooms for blindness, what I need is tub rails, the only rooms that I know have them are w/c with tub or hearing, so that is what I ask for, since they have no w/c, but had 4 different category rooms with hearing I went with that, she refused to book it.

2) AP rates are not out, but she said only an adult with an AP can get a room discount? Why? My 17 AP has not run out but mine has, so I would get the AP from her, but renew my AP when I get there. It is an AP perk, and at DL I have always had rotating AP cards and have used a 3 yo for the discount or an 16 yo or myself, why at WDW would the perk only be good if you are an adult?

3) because the lady kept saying the room I wanted was not available and I said well on line it is, I finally hung up and got both rescues online, I could not use my Disney gift card, but I got my split stay with poly and WL.

4) most people won't know this but I would be interested because life would be so much easier. According to this CM, I can order any room at all and get tub rails placed in the bathroom? Really?

I think it may depend on the resort and the rooms -- "hearing accessible" does not always include mobility accessible features (such as tub rails). While often combined, not always. Hearing accessible rooms guarantee the following:
Visual Alarm
Visual Door Knock/Doorbell Alert
Visual Telephone Call Alert
Telephone with Volume Control
Electrical Outlet Near Telephone Jack
TTY Available Upon Request at Check-In

There are wheelchair accessible rooms that have tubs with rails at all resorts . Those will guarantee these features:
Wheelchair-Accessible Route in Room
Grab Bars at Toilet and Tub

It sounds like you need the wheelchair accessible features more than the hearing accessible features. As mentioned, some hearing accessible rooms may not also have wheelchair accessible features. Some do, some don't.

As for getting tub rails in any room -- well, possibly. From personal experience, I don't think those suction cup rails don't work as well. I've never requested them at a WDW resort, so not entirely sure how good it works there.

I'm glad you were able to book the room you need online. You can apply the gift card to the balance due.

Enjoy your vacation!

I think you did what's best - online you can see all the particulars listed and make sure you book what you want exactly.

It is true that you cannot get the AP discount with a child's AP. However, anyone can book the AP discount without an AP in hand. As long as you have a valid adult AP when you check-in (or soon after check-in), you can maintain the booked discount.

I was able to call back and change the Dessie's around. So stupid, but if I want all poly and not poly and we, and I want it all for the same price each night, I have to make two separate Ressies, so I did. I now have poly 1/20 to 1/24 in a w/c with tub rail room, and I have poly 1/24 to 1/28 in a w/c with tub rail room. Average price per night $492. If I want to do it all in one resservation all in that room the price per night goes up to $801, even the case member and her supervisor could not figure out why, except it was a price code, we all think the code must be wrong, even club level would not be that much per night. So we have it all just in two separate ressies.

That is weird about the AP, I could swear you can do it at DL. I will have m AP soon, I have to get it before fast passes, but before I go because DVC special on AP is only good till Jan 3, so I was going to get it by then no matter what. That is a huge let down for kids though, they have to pay the same price but they don't get the perks. In DL I use to get just one AP and the rest of us would go on military discount tickets. We always got the AP for granddaughter because she was always the one who went no matter who else went, and I know we used AP discounts under her, since in DL you could not always get the military discount because there are so few rooms.
