Ugh. Cold mornings mean summer is over.

20's and 30's here this morning and yesterday, 70's by end of the week.

Anyone else annoyed by the cold or is it something you enjoy?

I love the cooler mornings! I will take 40s any day over waking up to the upper 80s and 80% humidity!

I find it's harder to motivate myself for running when it's cold, but once I'm able to get going, I vastly prefer it to summer running.

Plus, having the gas logs on in the morning, wrapped in a cozy blanket, toasty slippers, a nice bowl of warm oatmeal or a slice of fresh made pumpkin bread, fall leaves outside ... how can you beat that?

I LOVE this weather. Fall is my favorite season. 50 degrees here this AM, high of 59 today.

Benefit of living in a townhouse with neighboring walls on 2 sides - haven't had to turn on the heat yet.

Meanwhile today in the UK it was 20 degrees (Celsius) which is warmer than it has been for a lot of the summer! Very uncharacteristically warm for this time of year. That said I’m really dreading winter. We don’t get much snow at all but the drizzle and rain can be awful.

I don’t park in a garage. I was not prepared for an icy windshield and needing to warm up my car yesterday morning. I just went out and picked all my tomatoes and peppers because we are expecting a hard freeze tonight. I love all the summer produce but fall is my favorite season I love the crisp air, wearing a sweater and boots, and using a blanket while I watch tv.

Not happy with the cold weather either. Nor the early dark nights. I am trying to convince my DH to move to Florida and I ask Alexa the temperature in Florida every morning, just to remind him.

The only good thing about the cooler temps are the trees turning colors. Very pretty this year in western NY right now, but we all know the snow is coming in a few months again.

I don't like cold weather either. We don't get much of it in AZ. We do get chilly at night, but it can go from 40 at 5am to 70 at 2pm on just about every day.
I agree I dislike the early dark nights, but that's not going to change even it's warmer climate. When I go to DL at Christmas time it's dark by 5pm. In AZ were dark by 545 pm. I think Florida is about the same. I guess the more north you are the earlier it gets dark??? I've always lived very south so I don't know.

Spring by far is my favorite time of year. Our spring starts in February. Feb to June is in my opinion the best time of the year.

I love the chill (and the pretty colors) and much prefer fall to being hot and sweaty. Only downside of cooler mornings is having to warm up the car.

I target days like today to do outdoor work. For example, today is car wash/wax day. Depending on how I feel, the next several days are targeted for pressure washing the driveway and sidewalk.

Anything below 60 degrees in the AM is so welcomed. It's the first time since March that I don't have to run my air conditioner(s).

Very true, we could not get back to Buffalo from Disney for a week last Jan due to lake effect.

We had our first day below 70 yesterday. Was so nice. I opened a window to air out the house and left for work.

There was a forest fire of over 700 acres about 8 miles away while I was at work. The smoke smell drifted miles even to our house. When I got out of the car and realized the smoke smell was in the air, I had a panic that the house would smell like smoke on our first day of nice, cool weather. It did have a faint smell, but dissipated enough once I closed the window.

I opened the window and back door today and left for work-was 46 when I woke up. DH is home today and I gave him instructions that if the smell came back, be sure to close the doors.

Hit a low of 40 this morning and it is forecast to be a degree or two cooler tomorrow morning.

I don't like the cold mornings and already miss summer.

It doesn't help that I just returned from Las Vegas which was still in the mid 90's.

I tend to run in the morning and it is just not as enjoyable when it is in the 40's or colder. I do enjoy the nice cool night time temps for sleeping but would rather keep paying for the air conditioner to make it cool.

I saw frost this morning! Just RUDE!!
I LOVE flowers and have many, many pots and flower baskets which I arrange myself. About 4 weeks ago, I started the process of eliminating them. The first to go were the petunias! I just spent an hour and a half outside shoveling out 2 more big flower pots into my wheelbarrow today! LOL, I stopped and counted on my fingers ( Nov/Dec/Jan etc ) until May when I can plant again!

After 3 months of triple digits every day, I am so happy the weather is changing. I can't wait for the first frost to kill the mosquitoes. I'm being eaten alive and I'm so severely allergic that I'm basically living off of Benadryl at this point.

I really like the crisp cold mornings (to a certain point, not freezing). I am so glad for a break from the hot weather.

I am a big fan of fall anyway, so it really works for me!
