I'm not seeing how our UR are worth 1.5x with the Reserve.....I'm trying to book travel but must be missing something. DH opened the CIP, met MS and got his 80,000 UR plus another 13,000 or so through spending. He opened the CSR soon after that and has just met the MS this week so those bonus points haven't hit yet. I opened a CSP, met MS and earned my 55,000 UR. I just transferred his Ink UR's and my CSP UR's to his CSR but they are showing as 1x points. Is it because his MS and bonus hasn't hit yet on the CSR??? Did I transfer too early and will now lose that extra .5x? :( I know it's a little convoluted but appreciate any help

1 UR point = 1 UR point, whether it's on a Freedom, CSP, CIP, or CSR account. On any of these cards, you can redeem 1 UR point for 1¢ statement credit. Where the 1.5x factors in is when using your CSR to book travel through the Ultimate Rewards travel portal, meaning your 1 UR point that otherwise would be worth 1¢ goes 50% further in travel redemption. So for example, a ticket or hotel that otherwise would have cost $1000, or 100,000 UR points with just a Freedom (1x), would show as costing just 66,666 UR points when booked through a CSR.

Thank you both. So at this point I am browsing hotels on the list. The two I am interested in are around 8,000 UR's per night. Does this mean when I add them to my cart they will use around 6,000 UR's?

Pretty sure the price you see is the points you pay. When logging on to the UR portal, you have to first pick the UR card you are using. If you're using a CSP, the price you see in points should reflect a 1.25x redemption rate relative to the actual dollar value of travel. If you're logged in with a CSR, the redemption rate should reflect 1.5x.

For example, I redeemed some UR points using CSR for a ticket to Hawaii. The UR portal displayed the price in dollars and points. 1 UR point is roughly 1¢. If I multiplied the points value by 1.5%, I got roughly the value of the ticket in dollars. I received no further discount at checkout.

A hotel that cost $100... there is a sliding bar that lets you choose how much points you want to use. It will show you need 6,667 points. 6,6667 points will redeem for $66.67 cents. thats where the 1.5 is used.

without the 1.5, its $100 hotel. you need 10,000 points. which redeems for $100.
