UGH! ADR problem....

We are having the same issue.....we have ressies for 4. The other couple may not be able to make it on the trip so they told us to just change the ressie to a table for 2. I called and of course they have no tables for 2. So, I decided to keep it as a ressie for 4 and see what happens. There is still a small chance they may go but it doesn't look good. I do feel a little guilty about it, but I want this ressie and there is nothing available for lunch or dinner at any time for a table of 2 for the whole week we are there! :scared:

I think you handled that very appropriately. My issue has been with those who make no attempt or just don't show up. Have a great time!

Hi Folks,

Just to add my limited experience to this, we've show up one or two short to the CG twice (which requires a CC hold), and I've never been charged the cancellation fee.

It may depend on the restaurant. My parents were supposed to join us on our last trip but my Dad got sick. I called to change our ADRs and was able to do it everywhere except Sci Fi. They said that the cars that hold 4 people are different from the cars that hold 6 people. There were no 4 person cars available when we wanted to eat but we were able to get a different time. I would wait until you know for sure and then call. If they tell you that you can't downsize a particular reservation you can always keep that one and deal with it on site. But you might have more peace of mind if you change as many as you can beforehand. Good luck. Oh and don't cancel your trip - you'll be glad you went with or without perfect ADRs. :thumbsup2
