WHY do I get so many bidders with zero feedback !??! does anyone else have this problem ?? any luck with actually getting PAID by these buyers ?? I had 2 people with under 3 feedback win my auctions and I never got paid !! just makes me so mad !!
What do you all do ?????? :confused3

I kinda resent your attitude. I recently opened my own account seperate from dh's and I only have 4 feedbacks so far- I always pay instantly after the auction ends. Also when I have sold with dh's account I never had a problem with bidders with only a few feedbacks. we all have to start somewhere! hopefully your winning bidders will come through! :D

Sorry !! didn't mean to offend at all !!! I am only going by my experiences! I have only had 2 bidders with low feedback and they didn't pay me ! It's good to know that there ARE people out there with low feedback who will pay !

I had the same thought as mamalle. I very rarely buy anything on e-bay. I believe I have bought somewhere in the range of 15 items in the last several years. I always pay as soon as I win and have never won and auction and then not paid. On the other hand, I have gotten stiffed by somebody with good feedback where he never sent me an item that I paid for although he did go back and leave feedback about what a good e-bayer I was and how fast I paid for the item. You just never know. But everybody on e-bay started out with only low feedback. Good luck to you.

Note that as a seller you can get the telephone number of the buyer from eBay. You can call them to find out.

Of course, if they still do not pay there is filing the non-paying bidder (first the reminder and then asking for your fees back) and leave them a negative so others will not get stung. Don't worry that they might leave a negative for you. If your own feedback is very good, an occasional negative does not really hurt (and you can leave a response on the negative that theirs was retaliation by a non-paying bodder).

I have had NO problems with "new" buyers. In fact, I make double sure to give them fast feedback to help them out; most paid me with Paypal, so I was very happy with them.

I seem to have a lot of bidders with zero fb but I have had good luck - the only buyer who has backed out so far had about 35 fb 100% pos

Just had to reply to this. I ran about 35 auctions last week. 6 of the winners had 3 or under feedback. Everyone one of them paid promptly. I had 2 people with 50+ feedback who, now 9 days after auction end, still have not contacted me. You never know.

I have sold on ebay for years, and I never even pay attention to how many feedback people have. I have had some non-payers, but that comes with the territory. You could always mandate that buyers with less than "x" feedback require immediate payment or payment within a small number of days. That way, you can relist your item if needed.

Don't worry - you aren't the only one and I hope I won't offend people but I do not allow bidding by new ebayers or those with no feedback unless they contact me first. The absolute only reason that I have done this is because I have had almost a dozen brand new ebayers not pay for the item that they had won.
If someone bids on the item without contacting me first, I will cancel their bid.
I clearly state that in my item description so people know this - I have had no problems and if the ebayer e-mails me and says they are interested in the item and seem to be genuine, I have allowed them to bid and no one has ever complained and best of all, I have not had any more problems.

I have had bidders with low to zero feedback bid on recent auctions and they have all paid within a few hours of winning the item. I was a little nervous when I saw their feedback but I guess I lucked out. Alot of new people are bidding right now because of the holidays and ebay's recent advertising campaigns on tv. My best friend just started ebay (I showed it to her LOL) and she has less than 10 feedbacks but pays as soon as the auction ends so not all new bidders are bad. Everyone has to start off somewhere.

I totally agree on the fact that everyone has to start somewhere !! Obviously I just get the ones that don't intend on paying :(

I know exactly where you are coming from, PoohBear. I've been on eBay for over five years and most of my problems have been with zero/low feedbackers. Yes, I've had problems with bidders with high feedback, but for me, this is not the norm.

I do realize everyone needs to start somewhere, but many of these "new" bidders are actually recycled bidders who have been kicked off eBay for non-payment, and have just created new usernames.

The only way I have eliminated the no-pay dilema, was to post "fixed price immediate payment required"on my auctions. While this is not the solution for all items, it sure has cut down on the deadbeat bidder headaches.

Good luck with your auctions!

I have a similar problem, yet very different.

For me, Canadian buyers tend to haggle the shipping fee, also they tend not to leave any feedback although, at the same time, they tend to e-mail me directly and thank me for shipping the products promptly.

The above problems bug me to no end. Don't they realize that shipping within Canada IS more expensive than shipping to the US? Moreso, even if the cost of stamp is (say) $5 and I charge $7, they discount the fact that I have to buy the box, bubble wrap, tapes, trip to and from the post office, and PayPal fee which I have to pay when I receive payment for the shipping.

Or (this 'only' happened four times), I was told by the bidder that I'm being unfair in charging them in US$ because I live in Canada.

HUH? This is after I clearly stated on the page "price is in US funds"

Unfortunately you never know how the bidder is going to be until after the bid closing.. Everyone does have to start somewhere so its not uncommon to have zero feedback or low feedback for that manner.. It doesnt even necessarily mean they arent good.. Maybe the people they have bought for havent left them feedback.. I have had many buyers with zero or low feedback and thankfully I have only had 1 that didnt pay.. I ended up getting my fees back and then relisted and sold the item..
